Lol, I swear, if it weren't for supers and grenades, I would get no kills.

All of a sudden I found myself over shooting like a bas*@rd. I changed a few of the thumbstick mapping options on my elite controller and my aim came good again. No help to you if you don't have an elite controller though.

25 RepliesIts probably your sensitivity. If you contantly UNDERSHOOTING your target (that is not moving far enough to bring it into proper aim) your sensitivity is too low. If you're constantly OVERSHOOTING your target (moving past your target and having to come back to it) then your sensitivity is too high. The latter is---in my experience---the most common problem. There's this mythology in FPS that you need to crank up the sensitivity to nosebleed levels in order to "play your best". When the fact is most people can't aim for SHIT with sensitivities that high trying to use a controller or gamepad (PC). For example, I play with a sensitivity of "3". Any higher than that...and my aim goes to hell. Any lower than that, then the game starts to feel sluggish. At "3", my aim is crisp and precise. I'm at NO disadvantage playing with a sensitivity that low, unless I'm in VERY close-quarters witlh some kid with his agility cranked up to ADHD levels. But since I know that's an issue, I typically avoid those situations, and play to my own strength. Figure out what your typical aim error is...and then adjust accordingly.

Use your left trigger. You're welcome.

Maybe worn joy sticks, try lowering sensitivity, or use a different weapon, and you can try playing on a smaller LCD tv
-
Sounds like you should avoid precision weapons like Hand Canon and Pulse, just get the best auto you can and work on your map awareness and positioning.

The game does have a slower look mechanic than that of CoD/Battlefield. However it oozes aim assist to help out. You could try upping your sensitivity to see if that's the issue.

Might be your sensitivity, you may want to adjust it to your playstyle, for me I think it's all the way up

You can have potato aim but advantageous positioning makes up for it greatly. Most people on console don't understand this, due in part to games like call of duty, so they run around like chickens with their heads cut off. You will definitely find success this way due to that. Also if you are willing get rid of the controller and use mouse and keyboard. Even if it is emulated controller input it is still nice to not have to deal with the acceleration of control sticks. Just know turning around may not be so easy, as it is dependent on how much space you have to move the mouse. 9 RepliesEdited by Soul_Eater_42: 4/4/2017 2:16:50 PMThere's 2 things you could do: Lower the sensitivity to either 3 or 4 Or use some Kontrol Freeks, and set it between 6 and 8

Start using handcannons. That forced me to aim better.

Aim is just practice.

How is your positioning?

Get used to 10 sens and trust me dude, so many benefits

3 RepliesI had this problem in the crucible for a long time until I started tinkering with the aim sensitivity. I think I started at around 3 or 4 (start with whatever your most comfortable with at the moment), then I just gradually turned it up bit by bit every few weeks once I got comfortable. I'm now playing at max sensitivity, and while I'm a far cry from a perfect shot, I get by ok. Basically, I'd recommend finding the sensitivoty that works best for you, then gradually turning it up to make yourself faster. Once you go too far and you feel like it's too out of control, just turn it back a notch. It will take time, but it will help make you better at shooters in general. * note: I'm not necessarily recommending you try to get good with max sensitivity, only that you find a comfy starting point and work your way up to improve your own skill. You'll find your comfort zone. Challenge yourself!

1 ReplyTake your sensitivity down to 3. Work on it. Turn it up to no lore than 5. While firing don't try and strafe back and forth. Just strafe in one direction while moving your aim in the other. Don't try and force the kill. You don't get him? Run away and get some one else. Use puppeteer. You'll thank me later.

It may not be all on you. Could be lag/latency. Could be your tv if you don't play on a monitor. Personally, I suffer from both. I know the difference because one game I'm landing all my shots and the next I can't hit a damn thing (lag/latency). Also, the LED board on my low input lag Sony Bravia took a dump so I had to switch tv's and immediately noticed a huge difference. It's frustrating because I'm so used to playing a bit more aggressively and now I have to play slower and tread with caution. I'm not saying you should go and spend a bunch of money to improve your experience, but just don't be too hard on yourself because it might have very little to do with your gaming ability.

Do you panic when you get in a engament?Just stay calm and concentrate on headsots.I have a habit of being like that sometimes then I relax and focus and I start playing better.

1 ReplyI made the switch to using my thumbs. Immediately noticed a difference.

Sensitivity. Mine used to be too low

Dude I'm the same , I tend to take a bit more time in the Pvp matches now , instead of hairing it round the map at light speed.
