Are PC gamers REALLY more skilled than console gamers?
I play Overwatch and Battlefield One on both PC and PS4 (Simply because I have different friends on each). I've roughly the same time put into both games on each platform and honestly, I don't see any difference. Obviously the best of the best, like the pros (eg Seagull or Shadowburn) play on PC, but is the average player base really that more skilled PC?
Interestingly enough, on PC I'm in Master tier at 3522 and on Console I'm around 3150 in Diamond. Most of the time I actually play a lot better on PC because it's much easier to aim with a mouse and keyboard and the sensitivity is much more adjustable. A controller is pretty hard to aim with. The main difference I've noticed between the two platforms is voice chat seems to be used a lot more on PC than on console.
Overall I just think it's silly the way many of us PC gamers say we are the best. I actually don't notice any difference on either platform lol

Games aren't hindered by frame rate if you run max settings with a beast computer because computers are more powerful than consoles.

On console it's so much hard to aim and such. On pc it's a lot easier because it's quicker and more accurate with a mouse. What I think should be done, is to recognize console players in tournaments and things like Esports. Have separate competitions. Pc and console.

PC does have a higher skill ceiling, but this is down to the player's ability to achieve that threshold above consoles.

Pc has a higher skill ceiling due to ease of movement, aiming and usually better customisation of buttons, fov and framerate. There is a reason why console has auto aim where as kb/m usually doesn't. Play just about any competitive game on a pc with a controller and your likely to end up worse off than you would on the console version and a lot worse off compared to the people around the same skill group of people playing with kb/m. Reaction times with kb/m is faster so in a fight when reactions are usually key kb/m will win out more often than not

There isn't really a true way to find out. The tools Pc players use to play games (keyboard and mouse) allow for more precision and accuracy within games, but I wouldn't say that makes them better. It's hard to compare when the tool you use to play isn't the same.

I think we can all agree that Xbox has the most toxic community though, its just the way we grew up with cod and halo that makes us like this.(Before you self-rustle your jimmies be aware i have more hours on xbox than anything else.)

I just about lost my shit when I started seeing dead zone adjustment sliders on console. WASD+Mouse still feels better to me personally though. Also, afaik, you can't program a macro on console. If that's wrong someone needs to correct me. And then tell me how to program a macro on console.
