Icebreaker and Sidearms are still the only viable Special Weapons in Trials

Why haven't people been talking about this after 2.6.0.1? Bungie, it was a brilliant idea reducing the amount of Sidearm ammo on spawn, but you still didn't fix the initial problem in Trials. There is absolutely no logical reason to use anything other than an Icebreaker or Sidearm in Trials. Special Ammo feels like it takes forever to spawn, and usually the round is over before it even spawns. This wouldn't even be an issue if Special Ammo carried over after a round ends if you didn't die. It's like we're being severely punished for staying alive with Special Ammo. Also, I would recommend that Special Ammo spawns 15 seconds after the round initially starts.

  • You have no idea what balance is, are you sure you don't already work for bungie?

  • I equipped a sidearm last night for several Trials runs. About 15 matches total. I got 1, maybe 2 kills with a sidearm the whole time and I had 2-10 kills per match. Didn't really need it and by the time I or my teammates had killed the last guy or brought it down to 1, we could pick up special.

  • Not really. I'm already starting to see people abusing mapador again.
