So I've noticed some people already completed there book. How is it that I don't have rank 5 in Iron Banner knowing I've done it many times? Oh, also the fact I have a flawless card completed... I did that the day trials launched yet that's accounted for and not IB?

Because in Bungie land you have to do everything over and over that is the game design. Exactly what is our current content? That is right we are grinding year one to get back poor shells of the things we had in year one. Welcome to Destiny.

You don't have to fill up all nodes to finish the book. You can finish it with about 70% or so completion. It's impossible to completely get it done, things like clash, IB, and whatnot aren't available. And yes they made to where you have to hit rank 5 again, since it's not that hard (unlike some for trials.) If everything was already accounted for, the entire book would be 100% complete for most guardians before doing anything.
