This seems more like a taken king esque type of expansion than an actual sequel, same cut and dry bad guy shows up, we take bad guy, take out boss in raid get some quests blah blah blah rinse and repeat sure they might make a bigger explorable patrol but I doubt the story will progress and/or be what it was intended for the original destiny, it's the same activision strong arm oppressing get as many people as you can to play and buy their shitty cut dlc'a which they already have pre orders for, this is ridiculous I was stupid to think that we could actually get some depth as to who everyone, the traveller and everything is whilst developing those characters maybe even have three stories for each race and or subclass to make the player feel that they actually -blam!-ing matter in the story but -blam!- that here's another bad guy for you to defeat until the next mediocre DLC which we have already developed.

  • Just by looking at the pre order bonuses that they're replicating for destiny 2 I doubt things will change that much I can't take this universe seriously at all like I dont care for shit other than loot in the world. They'll probably be a "new" "social space" that does the almost exact same thing as destiny 1 frankly I'm not prepared to purchase this game until it's releases and have seen the reviews.

  • And what if its like borderlands? Split up sections with smaller encampments and towns where you pick up quests and visit shops?

  • We will have to see but I doubt that will be the case; even so if the story is piss poor that's a no buy for me.

  • Think people are jumping the gun on this game. Everything for D1 was an expansion so they had to build on what was already made. This is a brand new game with presumably better graphics and structure. Look at how much destiny one changed from vanilla all the way to rise of iron. It became leagues better. And as for story, if your expecting some revolutionary narrative like the last of us, you're playing the wrong game buddy. Your a guy in space with superpowers fighting aliens. I dont think a story about redemption and rebuilding is gonna be bad. Bungie churned out plenty of good games and they have a misstep with D1 vanilla and people lose their minds. Your gonna buy it, im gonna buy it, and everyones gonna buy. Because at the end of the day, wether it lacks in a "good" story or not, you know the gameplay loop is gonna be A+

I doubt that I will be purchasing it consider that borderlands 3 ( a game that destiny 2 looks like it's trying to be) and the new GOW are on the horizon in 2018, I was gonna be somewhat excited if it didn't go for the same shitty business model which they had for destiny 1 which is a high indicator that it will likely be just destiny 1 with better graphics and slightly improved gameplay and more empty explorable areas, again no story, no better different missions, no buy.

  • Suit yourself man, just because theres expansions planned doesnt mean its gonna be a light vanilla experience with nothing to do again. Like i said bungie learns and have more than proven that. Everyones judging this off a cinematic trailer without gameplay, and little information.
