Preordered digital deluxe on PSN.
Please. No dedicated servers for PvP. That totally ruined Halo 5. They way you have it now works the best. It's not broke so don't fix it. Just look at all the players that come every day.
Could you give us some information on PS4 pro like 4K HDR?
One more thing. Players will be expecting a new raid with each expansion.

I know bud. I was grinding Halo 5 for months and the dedicated servers suck. The closer you live to them the more advantaged you have. You think lag switching is annoying, try that. Destiny doesn't use that and neither does CoD and it's a much better experience.

You likley enjoy it better now cause you have the superior internet except for the host. Atleast on dedicated servers it keeps it closer to a level playing field. This is factual.

Peer to peer requires an Internet connection quality that some first world countries don't offer pervasively (USA is a prime culprit). Dedicated servers lightens that requirement. IF server distribution is sparse then it will create new problems but Destiny 1 has proven that their current approach to networking is insufficient at both PVE and PVP level.

I don't care what you read on the internet. Don't believe the hype. It sucks. If it was better why isn't CoD using them? You don't know what you're talking about. Try Halo 5 for a while and you'll see. Also what they don't tell on the tech articles you read is that sometimes they just go down or boot you.

CoD refreshes yearly that's a different case altogether. Destiny 2 will likely be around for 2-3 years. Furthermore CoD isn't designed to work like a MMO, Destiny is a diet-MMO. I have no intention of playing Halo 5. I tried For Honor which uses P2P and it's awful. I tried BF1 which uses servers and it was sublime. It's all about distribution of infrastructure. If you want everyone to connect to a single server then it's not going to work. You should be looking at MMO's for comparison not yearly FPS games. Destiny is a PVE first game that is played globally.

Think about your point about distribution. PvE MMO would be ok with enough servers but fast pace PvP shooters is a whole nother animal. You can't the amount of servers like you get by hosts. Trust me the Crucible would suck on dedicated servers.

It's a moot point anyway as they have already committed to networking method. We just need to find out more in May.

go take a look at css and csgo dedicated servers are in fact the most balanced vs p2p servers. the only good difference for p2p is that it is cheaper for the company than dedicated. unless of course your goal here is to be one of those people who fudge with the system to win without due effort then by all means keep advertising p2p misinformation. fyi i went to college for this stuff ...
