A lot of collectors editions have this problem friend. Instead of watching the trailer through I immediately got into my car and went to Gamestop. Within the first hour of announcement. The issue is there are some people out there that will buy these collector editions in bulk and then sell them for twice as much after September 8th passes because they know people will buy them. You have to be quick and beat those scum bags to the punch. A similar instance happened with fall out 4 pip-boy editions but Bethesda released more due to fandom up-roar.

I see. The last time I pre ordered something was the halo 3 legendary edition and I didn't have any problems with finding a place to pre-order. But that was 2007. I guess I would have imagined that Bungie would have had more available than they did. Like I said I was at work, it's not like I could just leave to go pre-order or I would have. Oh well. I was just really pumped up and now I'm deflated. I'll just get the standard version on September 8th unless Bungie puts out a few more units. Thanks for the explanation, anyhow.

I'm pretty sure they'll put out more like Bethesda did. Never hurts to be hopeful. Also a lot of the collectors editions now are able to be ordered online as compared to where you had to originally walk into the store. But the online orders won't arrive the night before so that's why I still do Gamestop store orders.
