For years, the Fallen came to the Cosmodrome with ship after ship after ship. Their Ketches come down over the wall and they never landed INSIDE the city. And NOW the Cabal come and do exactly that?
Why did the city build a fucking wall in the first place? It never made sense and never will. It is that lack of a logical story that is consistent, even if magic exists, that stops me from buying D2. Some basic rules have to be followed. Basic logic for example. I hope you at least find some kind of bogus 'explenation' why the walls don't work against Cabal, when the Fallen were not able to cross them with their ships. smh

It seems fairly obvious doesn't it? The Cabal are a single, disciplined military force. Individually they are no more than cogs in a machine, and utterly expendable for the Cabal cause. This ultra-militaristic unwavering dedication and loyalty is the very fabric their society is built upon. The Fallen society is the polar opposite, revolving around selfish greed and aggressive rivalry, not just between Houses, but right down to the individual. Cooperation is tenuous and purely self-serving. Perhaps the Fallen already attempted an assault on the city in the past, and now know better than to try? Even if the Houses managed to cooperate to launch a large scale attack, it would be a disorganised rabble, each House ready to turn on the other in an instant to gain an advantage, or abandon the fight and let others suffer the consequences. The Cabal, on the other hand would be a coordinated, determined and relentless force willing to claim victory no matter the price. That they are a force to be reckoned with is unquestionable, not only did they manage to hold their territories on Mars against the Vex and their advanced tech, but they also managed to board and establish a beach-head aboard the Dreadnaught, flagship of the Hive God-King Oryx. Now obviously, these are enemies that we Guardians later defeated, so where were we when the Cabal attacked the city, and why didn't we stop them? I don't know about everyone else, but I'm fairly certain I was visiting the Reef at the time, but it's all a little foggy. I vaguely recall buying some dangerously potent alcohol from Xur (at least, he claimed it was alcohol?), and later I almost hooked up with the Queen... except I ruined it by puking everywhere then passing out. Damn, she was so into me too, kept wanting me to take her to my ship, and saying "we are friends, yes?" Sigh, almost became more than friends, yes?

Those first three paragraphs were fantastic analysis. And then you lost me .... lol
-
Sorry, I shouldn't post after I've been up all night playing Xbox, sleep deprived. It was a joke that I was so wasted on Xur's 'alcohol', that I thought I was hitting on the Queen, but I was actually chatting up Variks. The bit about the ship and being "friends, yes?" is stuff Variks says when you visit him. My bad, obviously not as amusing as I thought, lol. Like they say, if you have to explain a joke, it's probably not funny.

I gotcha ;)

I know where we were, the hunters and titans were arguing over balance saying "Nerf this!" or "Buff that!" and the warlocks were either reading books or watching the spectacle.
-
Lol, yeah warlocks all the way. Damn savages jumping around in animal skins and barbarians clanking around in armor. Us warlocks are the only ones with any intelligence and style, I don't get why we aren't running the show. Coz we have more important things to do I guess, don't have time to babysit all those imbeciles.
-
All I have to say to that is Yes and that we need to begin a new crusade to reclaim our lost rights from the heretics.
-
The fallen are scavengers and the cabal are soldiers. They have advance ships that can bypass the GIANT GUNS on the wall.
-
I see that the Fallen are a bunch of pirates with no actual heavy power weapons. They are just like "NYAAA!! GIVE OUR GREAT MACHINE BACK!! D=< " They are like poor bastards making loud noise just to annoy. The Cabal sent a "small" fleet just to check things out or whatnot and now they are bringing the whole army full of fukers high on meth etc. Hope you get the idea. Cheers, mate!

We need f-ing sharks with f-ing laser beams!
-
I disagree, we need one big shark with many homing missiles and lasers. and a full set of all the raid gear with ornaments.
-
The Cabal we fought where an expeditionary fleet. This red legion is a full scale war legion geared with the finest in Cabal tech and most elite warriors.
-
Exactly. And if I'm not mistaken, we we're not the cabal's original target in this solar system, right? It wasn't until we kicked their buts that they realized they needed to call in the heavy hitters.
-
I wonder why the Hive have not yet eliminated them. They took out millions of systems. Remember the grimoire card about a box with sand, each sand particle a sphere with a world etched into it!? A world slaugtered and eaten by the Hive. That was creepy! I like the dark tone of the original story, we never have come to see. But you can still hear its echo in the cards. Somewhere in the vaults of Bungies Throneworld lies anencrusted USB stick with the last copy of the original story and it's presentation.

The hive could have been so much more in game i agree
-
Considering everyone got annoying only seeing the hive after TTK I may have to partially disagree, unless you mean seeing all the factions more and seeing more lore.
-
I'm more than certain we've not seen the last of the hive. There is SO much story there. They're definitely my favorite race. The only reason I would be OK with waiting on more hive story is if they first explain more about the war minds (which appears to be the second d2 dlc) or the vex (which we haven't gotten since the vanilla game) or the stranger ... or the origin of the exo's (which I believe is tied to the vex somehow)
-
If you came onto the forums you would see people not wanting anymore hive content, I agree that they are cool, but there isn't enough content explaining the other 3 factions. I would love to know more about the Vex

Edited by The Throngler: 3/31/2017 1:53:53 AMOfc lore wise. I meant they could have been 'More' not more of them
-
Oh, and as long as I'm making a story "wish-list," I would love to learn about the titan "stone born order." They are referenced in a titan artifact and mark and my curiosity is piqued. I'm hoping they are a new subclass or perhaps city wall defenders. But I'm hoping subclass.

Do you watch Futurama?
-
I am old school from 1966. I love Babylon 5, because it was somewhat consistent. Great space opera!

Edited by Jvp WReNCh: 3/31/2017 12:36:08 AMCool, but did you ever watch the comedy cartoon futurama?
