Sounds really good. I REALLY want to play some Halo 3, reach, and firefight gametypes like that now! I never really thought of doing that but now it seems so enticing... I just gotta try it.

I got it! How did I not think of this before!? The above variants can be created by giving us just 1 variation on 2 options we already have: Seperate damage resistance and damage modifier settings for the head and body. That's it. That's all we'd need. With these settings, we'd be able to dictate how much damage is registered by shots landed to the head, versus shots landed to the body. Just remove non-headshot weapons, set the head to instant kill (or some crazy amoount), and the body to invulnerable. Simple! That way we can do it ourselves, and not need the 'headshots only' option - and this way we can tweak things to an even more ridiculous amount! By the way, I'm apprehensive about toggling assassinations on or off. Actually I think it's silly. It's too big a deviation from what makes Halo what it is. It's a core part of halo, in a way. You may as well just play something else at that point. Though one can make the argument that it's no different than dissabling grenades. Personally, I'm fine either way. OK. NOW I've said all I can think to say on this. Maybe. Thanks again. Bungie, please consider. It's already thought out for you ; ).

Yes. That would be good enough. If we're given the options to remove enemy shields and turn off assassinations, we can create this gametype by tweeking the damage modifier and resistance. But if it's a gametype already built into the game, that would be easier. Though we might not have the ability to change all the details, either way we'd have the 'headshots only' variant. Admittedly, it should be easy enough to create it even without the ability to remove enemy shields; just turn up the damage modifier. I mean, body shots would still count, but the rifles/magnum would dole out enough damage to cut right through the shield - giving us an instant kill if landed precisely. Depending on the percentages, we should be able to recreate the old 3 hit kill from the original Halo in MP. Body shot, no body shot; it's a subtle difference, I know. But it's just an Idea; and it couldn't hurt to have these options. I'm not sure I have any more to say on this topic. Hopefully someone at Bungie reads this and at least considers it - I'm not asking for anything crazy - just another way to play the game that's already there. What about Headshots Only with Instant Kill and No Assassinations on?That will take care of the pesky shields while making it to where you [i]have[/i] to use a precision weapon to kill them.

It seems like an immune to headshot option is unnecessary because you have already identified a way to make it so.
