Dude all quests and rewards are pointless. Nothing carries over. Not sure why you would bother doing something you dislike for pointless rewards?!?
Tried getting back into it yesterday after 6 months but it's still the same boring grind. It's BS that for the record book, you have to redo a lot of the stuff just in an attempt to keep you grinding anyway. Poor excuse for "content".

Then why play any game, right? Because... nothing carries over to the next; for example, CoD, Final Fantasy, Titan Fall, Border Lands... Just to name a few. Yeah I wouldn't spend 2 years chasing cosmetics in ANY game period. Most of those games aren't structured like a MMO trying to last years....Bungie also changed it's mind on a number of things they claimed and the claim that "they meant your memories" would carry over was a BS cop out answer. Those games also aren't meant to be an endless grind with no reward at the end.....

I really hope this crap doesn't carry into destiny 2. What I worry is if bungie realized over the past 3 years they were able to stretch out 40 total hours of content over 3 years, why should they try and do better next time? Depending on how truly successful they all feel. Activision may not be happy with the numbers ultimately but we don't know.

It's called dark humor. You should listen to how soldiers talk about war in the field. Not too different from Cayds humor. No I did not serve, but my coworkers have and they joke like that. No need to act like pacifist and cry about it. instead PASS YOUR FIST THROUGH THE CABAL WHO DESTROYED MY SHIT!!! +1 to me for that play on words.

I will say that the trailer was strange. It's like they split a team in two, told them to make their own trailers, then came back and put them two together. I like Cayde's humor, but it was soooo out of place.

Exactly. He is making jokes, and that's ok. But not in the context of women and children running through smoking rubble, trying to get to safety. Priority would never be 'loot'! It is very poor taste!

No offense, but "poor taste"? I think running around killing other Guardians, that is, your own people, is poor taste. I want to kill enemies, not my own people! That , to me, is poor taste.

OK, so we agree? Crucible is poor taste, and that is why both of us do not like it? Well, one reason, anyway.

Crucible was made to improve combat skills. But, no skills learned there are relevant to PVE. It's real purpose is to attract those that have that interest. It was poorly implemented. I bought Destiny based on its advertising of PVE. Turned out PVP was where the majority of focus was from Bungie. That ended my interest in its future.

Plenty of us military guys laugh about it and often times laugh about much worse. It's sort of a coping mechanism if you'd say. Seeing charred bodies and beheading victims takes its toll on everyone some choose to avenge, others choose to wallow in pity while others choose to laugh. I'd recommend watching the Pacific on Netflix to get a bit of a better idea on how it all works.

Hahaha exactly! The game itself has a solid foundation (once the engine code is cleaned and technical debt removed). Hoping that them having 3 companies working on it will help, but if the management of the game and community continues the same way, screw that, I'm out.

You can cut your hair different every time. Sometimes even add colors, anything you can imagine. With Destiny its been same after day 2.
