It seems like a lore-driven reason for losing everything, true, but I'm not going to be thankful for the fresh start based off of lore alone. Given that this is the second reboot in how less than 2 years, I think its fair to expect big changes from the game that will actually improve the Destiny universe for the better, such as separating PVE from PVP.
As dissatisfied as I am with having to leave my favorite stuff behind TWICE so that Bungie can reboot to fix all its mistakes (only to not fix them in the first reboot...), I'll accept the full reboot again so long as we actually get something good out of it.

My gut says D2 will be same recycled garbage. Nerf this, nerf that, year 1 was a mistake. D1 was disappointment after HoW to me. I'd advise not buying it til you watch some twitches or something and see how they handle it. Your choice obviously, but this game has been in a nose dive for a year and a half, and I see no reason to believe that will change. Shiny new cinematics do nothing for me.

Ive got a 90 day wait and see policy for any new destiny content. Ur preaching to the choir here lol

Funny, Destiny has become the Warframe recruitment tool.

I like you already. Did I see you play Warframe? I'd love to add you if that is ok?

Well said.
