Never got the reason for calling sidearm OP. They was not OP before and they are definitely not OP now.

The reason for everyone to run around with sidearms is because the ammo nerf. People fail to realize that sidearms are the only special that doesn't OHK a guardian. But people are complaining because they can keep ammo upon death... which they always been like since launch.

I would still refer you to the youtube movie of Cammy Cakes. He is comparing the time to kill between hand cannons and sidearms on different ranges.

I don't watch/ listen to whatever streamer have to YouTube... people tend to follow whatever they do. Cammy is calling sidearms OP because of the distance it can kill etc.... But sidearms had that potential way before this recent nerf to ammunition. All you people who watch famous YouTuber about what the new best thing to use are simply followers. And you guys are the same people who cry to nerf abilities or guns in destiny, but still be the same people who complain about things being weak. If you want to watch a YouTuber by all means go right ahead. Just don't bring that nonsense to me saying "watch this and you will understand sidearms are OP" because they are not. They were always good even in HoW era. Everything in destiny have been water-downed because of "followers"
