The vex want to reach a state in the universe were they win in every possible end to everything. The darkness destroys everything it controls
The fallen. Now pirate scum.
The hive. Constantly in fear of their worm.
If the vex will eventually lose they wouldnt bother to have their units existing and working on planets.
Therefore, the vex have already won. They have seen the end of the universe and are essentially keeping the light in endless loop.
Another thing is in prologue films' montage we see the vex being born in the depths of the ocean. If the vex are the darkness they would be born in darkness. Which powerful race first encountered the darkness in the deep?
The hive. The hive brought the whirlwind to the fallen which turned them to the darkness.
Also, in the ps exclusive hunter armour, it talks about the ahamkara dragons ( hive worm gods) living in the depths of oceans. So maybe some of these ahamkara were tainted with dark vex power and ebcountered the krill or proto hive, aurash and her sisters.
Also the taken, born of the darkness, look a hella lot like the heart of the black garden and the gorgons.
Another support is the vex are manipulating us because all threats have been or will be eliminated. Kabr was using vex technology so he was seen as a threat. Praedyth was a warlock that could be used as bait when oryx tried to control the vex, but for some unknown reason the weak hunter known as pahanin survived, was it sheer luck? Or did the vex just see pahanin as irrelevant as our guardian.
The vex want to reach a state in the universe were they win in every possible end to everything.
Correct
The darkness destroys everything it controls
The Darkness uses everything that follows it to destroy what it believes to be weak, but it is a double-edged sword and the weak amongst its followers are killed as well
The fallen. Now pirate scum.
True enough. Bloody pirates
The hive. Constantly in fear of their worm.
Not necessarily. They do have the drive to feed and survive with their Worm but most of their motivation is to become powerful themselves and exert their belief of Darkness on the universe
If the vex will eventually lose they wouldnt bother to have their units existing and working on planets. Therefore, the vex have already won. They have seen the end of the universe and are essentially keeping the light in endless loop.
We already know from the Stranger and the Vault of Glass that the Vex win in many timelines, but they still seek to assert dominance in our timeline and there is always a chance that we can stop them. Until they gain true understanding of the Light and Darkness, they cannot possibly win in every timeline. Also, it's not a paradox, the Vex are far too organized for that. We are not in a loop but rather experiencing our own alternative in the infinity of possibilities that is time
Another thing is in prologue films' montage we see the vex being born in the depths of the ocean. If the vex are the darkness they would be born in darkness. Which powerful race first encountered the darkness in the deep? The hive. The hive brought the whirlwind to the fallen which turned them to the darkness.
Being built underwater has nothing to do with their relation to the Darkness, and judging by how they're built they could have those machines above ground as well. If anything it's underwater because of changing landscape or to make it harder to destroy. The Worms communicated with the Darkness long before the Hive did, and even these two species are not born of Darkness, it's just the entity that they worship. The Vex learned the ways of Darkness from fighting the Hive, but although their action performs its will, they are not united with it in the same way the Hive and Worms are The Eliksni were reduced to the Fallen by the Hive, but they actually despise the Darkness and only fight against the Light because they want the Traveler back.
Also, in the ps exclusive hunter armour, it talks about the ahamkara dragons ( hive worm gods) living in the depths of oceans. So maybe some of these ahamkara were tainted with dark vex power and ebcountered the krill or proto hive, aurash and her sisters.
We could already tell from the Books of Sorrow that Worms could live in oceans because of their time inside Fundament. I do also believe that the Ahamkara and Worms are the same and they separated because they believed in different things, but there is also evidence that they may not be the same and Bungie hasn't confirmed anything yet, so using this to try proving your point was a mistake.
Also the taken, born of the darkness, look a hella lot like the heart of the black garden and the gorgons.
The Taken are beings that the Darkness bends the will of and converts their forms with its power. The Taken look like the Heart because both are forms of Darkness, but Gorgons have absolutely no relation. They aren't even Vex that follow the "worship Darkness" directive and they are silvery with glowing white edges, while Taken are pitch black with white "eyes". Just because they both glow doesn't mean they are the same; all Vex are glowing white matter and Servitors glow, why not say they're all Taken?
Another support is the vex are manipulating us because all threats have been or will be eliminated. Kabr was using vex technology so he was seen as a threat. Praedyth was a warlock that could be used as bait when oryx tried to control the vex, but for some unknown reason the weak hunter known as pahanin survived, was it sheer luck? Or did the vex just see pahanin as irrelevant as our guardian
Guardians are unpredictable to the Vex, but they can theorize tactics that may work in their favor. Praedyth was used as bait for this reason. In some times Praedyth is dead and in others he is alive still, so theoretically we can still save him. Kabr was a threat and the Vex tried to stop him, but it only took one successful alternative where he made the Aegis for it to become permanent in the Vault, the Vex couldn't stop him no matter how many times they killed him in. We don't know how Pahanin escaped, but again Guardians are unpredictable to the Vex, so it's really not that unlikely of an occurrence since the Vex couldn't detain him like with Praedyth. I am 100% sure that the Vex don't see the Guardian who killed Atheon and a dozen other Axis Minds to be irrelevant
