Was this on PS3, or PS4?
It should have been patched on PS4 but not on PS3.

It was on PS4. -
In that case, you'll have to make sure that you kill the boss quickly before he rotates to the other side of the chest and go immediately to the chest when it spawns. This was how I did it before it was "fixed".
