Does anyone else not understand the hype around overwatch?
I just don't see the appeal and was wondering if anyone shared my opinion

3 RepliesThat's how opinions work not everyone shares them like you don't see the big deal about overwatch I think darksouls is a terrible game but that doesn't change the fact that others enjoy it

It's pretty competitive and there's hardly another shooter on console like it. I'd say it's pretty deserving of it if you ask me.

Depends from person to person. You can't get a factual answer. You can however wait for a free weekend and try it out then.

9 RepliesWell, when you're strictly a console player and the only thing you get to play are FPS, a handful of RPG and barely any RTS and then comes one FPS that implements MMO roles, its no surprise that a lot of people will be over it. Its just like Destiny. A shooter that decided to implement MMO elements and look how far it got. Its not new, but its new to a bunch of console players.

Depends on who you are as a gamer I love the game and get the hype. Granted my hype level isn't quite as big for it but I get it.

7 RepliesOverwatch is a fun game but it definitely isn't some sea change game of the year material. It's basically Team Fortress 2 only newer, prettier, and with more characters. As a team multiplayer only game, it can be a nightmare for anyone matching in solo.

No. I don't get the Overwatch hype at all. Then again, in my defence, I don't play PVP at all so the very idea of a strictly PVP game has Zero appeal to me.

I personally love it. I do agree though that it shouldn't of got GotY, Titanfall 2 should've of. But I guess it's just personal opinions

Me neither. I can understand it being for a short period of time but that's about it.

I enjoy the game for the most part, but sometimes the fact that you have to rely on your team so heavily is annoying. I also hate when I get eliminated instantly so I have to walk from spawn all the way back to the objective, and I couldn't even put up a fight.

One of the reason why I did not go and buy it was because of how cancerous I thought it would become and I was right + it can get boring and repetitive very fast too 😕 [spoiler]The hentai is great tho[/spoiler]

I would say I wasn't hyped for Overwatch. I hadn't even heard of it until the beta. Then I played the beta and it was an extremely fun, refreshing experience.

Personally, I just like it because t doesn't just rely on twitch reactions like other FPSs.
