Bungie I don't dismiss the fact of having the two versions of the guns. In fact I'm all for it, but my underline issue is that what many others have argued, we've had these guns before. I know it's too late for you guys to go through and change it all but I mean a simple (maybe simple I'm not a programmer) could truly make these guns WORTHY and truly exotic. I say you give them the MurMur perk of being able to swap their burns. Fatebringer being allowed to have any burn, or any other of you fav raid primary. This right here would be a major game changer and to me make them hold as truly exotic and worthy of the slot.
Won't happen and just this losers thoughts :) doubt anyone will even see this post lol.
EDIT; Surprised people actually saw this. Anyways I agree with the lot of you that they should also have a more intrinsic perk. Just not sure what, maybe something for their respective raids? I saw someone mention increased range and this would work but it has to be PvE specific like against minions of the dark or else expect a nerf fast. Finally I only used Fatebringer as a reference, I wasn't meaning make Fatebringer the only primary to have all three burns lol.
EDIT 2; Lol guys I don't care if you think the idea is stupid or bad but can you try to explain why. See a few just "bad idea", "nah", etc. Give some insight guys. Also I personally don't think I'll be using these "new" exotic primaries just for their ONE burn. Zhalo is different due to its chain ability, these as far as we know have nothing extra so far. Wonder why Outbreak Prime isn't getting a burn added, though the gun holds and looks exotic. Will be more useful then the other guns with burns from WorM.

They should add extra effects to the raid perks on the adepts. VOG adepts: extra damage to oracles and praetorians. Shots won't trigger hobgoblin ability. CE adepts: extra hive major damage. Immune to wizard smoke when equipped. KF adepts: extra damage to taken and blights. Can shot through taken vandal bubble. Wotm adepts: extra damage to fallen and Siva nodes. Headshots won't cause Homing Siva to spawn from splicers

Not that I'm too fussed about it, but I agree. There needs to be something more added, even if it's added burn to certain enemies. Otherwise let's be honest, the new exotic weapons are the exact same as the old legendary weapons just with higher light levels.
-
How to make adept weapons truly exotic: Step 1, change the background to yellow Step 2, profit
-
I agree. Just adding a burn to it doesnt make it exotic. Zahlo supercell is exotic because of chaining lightening, getting your super quicker and automatically reloading, not just because of its burn. It is a really good choice for the first part of Crotas End and that has absolutely nothing to do with it having a burn. If the adepts only have a burn as their "exotic" perk they will only get used once a week. People will run them for the nightfalls but once people get a fatebringer from vog nobody will run strikes anymore because theres no point in grinding for a "fakebringer". Plus all other strike specific loot are basically re skinned vog weapons or nerfed into the ground. Also challenge of the elders probably wont see much more play time than it does now. They should have brought back Skolas instead imo. (Sorry if theres typos I wrote this on my phone)

If anything the other exotic primaries should get burns now

Why dont we add a perk that just makes them 20% stronger against whatever were fighting? I know some gun already have a perk similar to that but its not close to a 20% bonus. So pretty much the VoG guns are good vs vex, crota=hive, oryx=taken, wrath=splicers. And with prison of elders returning make adept versions of the OG models that varry in strength between all the enemies (this way you can have a bonus towards regular fallen and cabal)
-
Fak no. That is the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard. They're exotic not godly. We're getting elemental primaries back, and we'll have more variety than jus Zhalo.
-
Legendary version will just be the as is version it is now but it will be Kinetic and have NO Fallen or raid bonus perks. The Adept will have the Burn and Raid bonuses and Vex damage. That will be the difference.
-
Won't happen. I am hoping they have a inherent perk such as the adept trials weapons with snapshot. That would be great.
-
I guess the weapon "design" team is working on Destiny 2 since long before RoI was released and all we get are same weapon models, with a different color scheme and a yellow background with what it seems NO SPECIAL exotic perks on them... I hope Iam wrong... I really dont understand why not give us the legendary versions with elemental burns like we had in Y1... And if NOT the legendary versions then atleast give the adept versions the "exotic" perks and not just splat a yellow background instead of the purple one...

Real question is did you vote for trump?
-
I totally agree, just one thing. If you made it so that you could change between all the elements, there would be no diversity. It would be the same primaries every week in Heroic and Night Falls, and CoE. So here's what I would change. I would make it so that FateBringer(example) has Great stats across the board(not that it already doesnt), make it so that you can use that Handcannon at a good range, and still have no damage fall off. Keep the elemental burn, make it so you can bonus damage to all Vex targets.

You put a yellow bg on it. Why a paragraph?
-
Attention seeker...
-
Just give them all the Perk 'The Life Exotic'. I'm sure that will have absolutely no negative consequences or people complaining.
-
Good idea, hopefully these "adept" weapons get a non raid essential intrinsic perk as well, and a useful one for that matter, otherwise I'll stick to legendary primaries and exotic swords.
I -blam!-ing swear if I see exhumed or graverobber on any of those guns I will hunt the people responsible and force feed them my destiny disc.
-
I'm down for this, even if it's in Destiny 2.
-
And you think you can hurt me with insults that 10yo use? Grow a dick man...
-
It's not that simple
-
I think it would be awesome if there was a quest of sorts. Like for each weapon you had to get at least 1000 kills with it to unlock the adept version or then do a quest.
-
Maybe make it so that the primaries have a node that lets you spend marks and a shard to change the burn.
-
Maybe not let you choose any burn but do something to them so that they have something that makes them exotic other than just an element
-
Personally I only use Zhallo for the burn. If I had a max light Fatebringer I could use instead I would and will once I get one, and having the option for a solar or void primary again will in itself be worth the exotic slot in my opinion for PvE, at least for activities that have a burn (nightfall, etc). Would I rather they still be legendary? Sure because I like my exotic swords but i think it's a fair trade off and if it's one you aren't willing to make then Bungie has achieved what they set out to do in keeping primaries that don't have a burn relevant in PvE.
-
They should be extremely strong but not op. That would be op
