My Hypothesis
This is my theory for how Destiny 2 will open. In this leaked photo of a poster, we see 3 guardians with their weapons out and no helmets on. They appear to be in the city. I think that the city is under attack. So, imagine that Destiny 2 starts with a cut-scene of your character. He/she is dresses in some sort of formal armor at a ceremony. Other guardians are here, and the speaker is giving you a Medal of Honor or something like that. Suddenly, Cabal ships appear out of no where! You and the other guardians must defend the city, so you hurriedly grab a gun from Banshee's table. It then jumps from a cut-scene to gameplay, and you jump into the fray against the Cabal!
So, what do you guys think?
Edit 1: Ok all you people saying it's a hypothesis, not a theory, I changed the title, ya happy?
Edit 2: The poster is confirmed to be real and now a logo has been released!

1 ReplyThe only issue with all these 'the City gets attacked' ideas is this simple thing: The Traveler remains dead and stationary. If it is true that the City is attacked we must fight. If we are victorious then I believe that the attack is not as big a deal as we think. If we lose, we must escape with our remnants, which means leaving the Traveler behind with whichever enemy it may be that attacked us. They will then be free to examine, experiment, and destroy our only connection to the Light, the consequences of which are unknown. Those are our only two outcomes, logically speaking. Unless the Traveler awakens...
