I'm no expert on the matter, but this seems like it should be fixed before Age of Triumph happens. The Oversoul can currently be 'tanked ' simply by blocking with your sword, whereas Gorgon's Gaze can be survived via blocking and using Armor of Light. If this isn't the right place for this, I apologize, but this is a bug that should be high priority given that there is a challenge in the new record book about killing Gorgons, and both Vault of Glass and Crota's End are returning. I'd suggest making both affects just drain your health directly, like Touch of Malice, but however it's done will probably be fine, as long as it's fixed.
