We lose our gear and weapons because the cabal destroy our vault

I really hope Destiny 2 isn't centred around the Cabal, the worst enemy in the game imo 😬

Or you know... something completely different than we all thinm it's going to be? I mean they said it will be a completely new experience and they might not even bring the old enemies over...

I think Bungo should do this to bring an end to Destiny 1 player's characters where when the the attack starts you get your Ghost out and who gives all your Exotics and you can wear them all at the same time. Cabal start pouring in to the City from all sides but the most are on a certain side then our Guardian goes there only to find Shaxx fighting the leader of the attack then you fight side by side with the Crucible legend but soon get overwhelmed. That is when our Guardian throws Shaxx out of the battle and does 'a really powerful attack which destroys all enemy but kills you as well'. You save the City yet again and for the last time. Only a residue of your Guardian's Light remains which our Ghost uses to transmit a message to all the Guardians near the Last City. *Cue an emotional speech*. We get to hear our Guardian(after a really long time)one last time and then He/She will be gone forever but our Ghost will remain.... Soon after the attack The Stranger arrives to meet us but only to find us dead. She speaks to the Guardians leaders saying that we don't have a time to mourn about the dead that we have to prepare. She says that this was a very small force when compared to to real power of the Cabal Empire and that the Cabal leader will arrive in the Solar System in a few years. After that she says that with Our Guardian dead the City's​ last hope was gone but there are still some strong Lights out in the Darkness of the Solar System. Even though she said that no Ghost could find an exceptional Guardian as our Guardian. During this time the Cabal kept attacking against The City which the Guardians could barely defend against. What Hope our Guardian had built in Destiny 1 is gone. Now only fear rules the City. Fear to get attacked and wiped out by the Cabal at any time. But even in these circumstances the City lives on... A few years later.... The Lights again kindle in the Darkness.

Was I able to double-back and grab my Medal of Honor off of the table? [spoiler]I mean, I know people are getting shot and all- but it's not like they're going to give me another once the city has been destroyed, right?[/spoiler]

The only issue with all these 'the City gets attacked' ideas is this simple thing: The Traveler remains dead and stationary. If it is true that the City is attacked we must fight. If we are victorious then I believe that the attack is not as big a deal as we think. If we lose, we must escape with our remnants, which means leaving the Traveler behind with whichever enemy it may be that attacked us. They will then be free to examine, experiment, and destroy our only connection to the Light, the consequences of which are unknown. Those are our only two outcomes, logically speaking. Unless the Traveler awakens...

That, or maybe, the solar system was at peace for some time and guardians were put in cryostasis. We are awoken again by our ghost as the cabal attack

Or the Stranger comes asking for help and warning that the darkness is closing in fast. But she comes after we are at a time of momentary peace and everyone has their guard down.

That would b cool.
