Last couple weeks many of us were excited because we were hoping to become powerful once again similar to year 1 in the last 6 month of Destiny.
However you choose to release them as Exotic weapons which will limit usability of these weapons a lot.
On top of that these weapons will drop only from Challenge completions with RNG. Another huge slap in the face because only featured raid activities will feature possibility of challenge.
Therefor you are forcing guardians to a very long grind to gather the weapons we already keep in our vaults while you also reduce the usability of this weapons.
I am not sure if i'll continue chasing these guns.
And more importantly releasing Raid Weapons with no burns is another slap in our face. Please tell me how will fatebringer compete with Imago Loop or how will Vision of Confluence compete with Hung Jury or a similar good roll scout rifle.
Until yesterday i was hopeful that you would undo your biggest mistake with Taken King but you take that mistake to another lvl with Adept Raid weapons.
I personally have no desire to chase them.
I love Destiny and i want to see is improved Destiny. but the Sandbox team constantly continue to fail the community.

1 ReplyRaid weapons are set rolls. You don't have to farm for hundreds of hours to get them.

18 RepliesEdited by Oddish43: 3/24/2017 6:13:23 PMI must disagree: elemental primaries were a problem in the past, but Bungie has given us what I consider an eminently fair compromise: we get them, but at the cost of our exotic slot. That's an entirely acceptable trade-off. Want to hack stuff down with your Dark Drinker? Use a kinetic primary. Want to wreck enemies with Invective rampages? Use a kinetic primary. But want to be able to shoot down all three types of shields without a gun change? You can do that now. And kudos to Bungie for giving us this choice!

The sandbox team has been a huge failure

My friends have be so excited about them bringing back the old raids, I have said since the beginning that Bungie will find a way to screw us over. I said the weapons won't be the same, Bungie doesn't care what we want, they just want us to keep handing over our money. I love the game, but I'm not going to grind my a$$ of to get weapons I already have in my vault. To rub salt in the wound, they are just a pale shadow of great weapons made obsolete. My old VOG raid team is gone, only one person still plays destiny , I remember those days back when playing Destiny was fun!!!

1 ReplyEdited by The_Moustache: 3/24/2017 1:40:02 PMThe legendary versions are almost useless since you can get weapons just as good if not better right now. I just can't agree with this change when we can get weapons like my The Wounded that has Full Auto, Triple Tap, and Firefly.

3 RepliesEdited by Vesta: 3/26/2017 12:12:42 PMWell VoC had full-auto and I don't think Threads can roll full-auto so that will one of the differences.

1 ReplyDon't forget finding a decent raid team will be " difficult as hell "........we really need think twice before we buy D2.......
-
2 RepliesVery long grind? Did you not listen to the stream? They said the drops are very generous.

2 RepliesMan I'm glad I didn't play in early year one, I can see the benefit of having a legendary elemental burn, but I've NEVER had a problem in strikes/raids without a primary elemental weapon. And on the bright side, at least there's gonna be more that just zhalo supercell on arc burn weeks. It just blows me away how mad people are with the change. I personally don't mind it, and happen to enjoy the recolors. I know there's some anger in the community right now, but loot is WAY different than it used to be in destiny, so getting those weapons back is probably not gonna be that hard at all.

15 Repliesaww one for the wah wah bus. If you don't want to do it then don't do it, why whine about it. Raid guns come from raids, I am happy to raid the updated raids.

Edited by Marcus Grinder: 3/24/2017 12:33:59 PMFatebringer II non elemental vs Imago. Maybe getting Fatebringer II is a slightly easier way to get the Imago Fakebringer roll. Non elemental VOC: Goes to vault. Picks up one of a dozen better scouts. The point went right out of this event once they announced you can grind for stuff you already have equivalents of or versions you will never practically use.

2 RepliesIn short Age Of Triumph has been one, big final "f*ck you" from Bungie. If nothing carries over to D2, then what's the damn point of making exotic adepts and hiding them behind raid challenges? The entire team at Bungie should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat their community (which I doubt). D2 better be something phenomenal otherwise Bungie can go piss off

23 RepliesYes, simply adding a "burn" to a Legendary weapon does not make it exotic. That is pretty lame and not worth the exotic slot. With such little time left in Destiny 1, I don't know why Bungie doesn't just let us have fun. Legendary raid primaries with burn will not break this game in any way. It definitely won't affect PvP at all, which seems to be what Bungie cares about anyway, so just let us have them back for these last couple months. And while you are at it, make Ghorn and Vex great again, undo all the nerfs that patch 2.0 brought to every single weapon perk in the entire game and let PvE players feel powerful again. We have been beat over the head over and over again with every patch because of PvP changes. Let us feel as powerful as we did in Year 1 this last time.

1 ReplyY are u acting surprised they are doing this? This is the type of shit bungie has always done since the beginning.
-
1 ReplyYes this is disappointing to say the least. The element only was useful to enemies with shields. Like in CE with the AR was useful for dealing with witches. Now we will have to use an alternate solar weapon to bring down their shields before we can blind them and kill them. It's complete BS IMO, elements only made the certain raid enemies and nightfall a little easier having primary weapons with burns as it was the only activities before HoW where they made a difference. The longer this game goes on the less I have put into it with each expansion, that's a sign of just how the fun has been drained from this game since year 1 ended. You can make all the kool gear you want but if the game isn't fun I'm not playing it.
-
4 RepliesJesus. Can't even bring great content back with people whining. FFS.
-
I'm getting the 3 exotics I need for the book node (55 total) and moving on. I just don't have it in me to grind like mad for weapons that won't matter in what appears to be 5 months if the leaked poster date is accurate. Should be a nice summer without Destiny keeping me indoors more than I should be.
-
It wasn't what players wanted or expected, so if we don't bite Bungie will just have to suck it up. If they settle with the responses they receive and don't budge, then screw them and their business model. Simple as that. It's so easy to decide not to buy their next game considering nothing carries over...
-
2 Repliesarc or no arc still would take a new fatebringer anyday
-
2 RepliesWhy would you expect anything else? You're only going to be using (getting a benefit from) the exotic version during strikes with the matching burn anyways.
-
3 RepliesMy question is the drop rates for these weapons. Will they be slightly easier to get? I know that loot is RNG which I normally don't have a problem with unless it takes a year to get. It took me that long to get a jade rabbit which sucked. But when there's only a few months left for this game the drop rates need to be kind of increased. Nobody is going to be grinding raids when the destiny 2 beta comes out. I know that the raid weapons HAVE had better drop rates from year 1. But it's still something to think about. The weapons don't have to drop every single time but nothing should be taking 5 months to get. I want to get the gear and have some fun with the weapons before the destiny 1 servers are dead.

100% agree!!
-
bump, this is a huge let down. This convinces me they are sadists.
-
1 ReplyKnowing that pretty much means I will likely do a few VoG runs and then onto other games.
-
1 ReplyAnd also they nerfed range again, which will make raid hand cannons useless i think.
