1) I would like to see realistic CANON answers
2) I want to see some crazy story about why they are not in the other games, make it as funny and farfetched as possible, but whilst still keeping it relevent to the topic!

There's your cannon answer.
lol
WIN :D

Here's my hypothesis--not theory, as there's not enough evidence to back it up--about what happened to the Skirmishers. The Covenant, having learned of Reach's importance to the humans--not location, ironically, because the Covenant already knew it's location because of a Forerunner artifact--decided to send their toughest warriors to the planet to ensure victory. Knowing just how much the humans would defend the planet, the Covenant put every Skirmisher on it, and after they glassed the planet, they all died in the Battle of Reach. After all, the Covenant wanted to completely wipe out the human presence on Reach, and if they had to get rid of an entire caste to do so, they would. Any way, the Prophets of Truth and Mercy would later try to eradicate all the Elites, so who's to say that they wouldn't purposefully get rid of all of the Skirmishers. It could be the same reason that Freeza killed off almost all of the Sayans: fear. P.S. Nearly everyone has watched Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z; it's one of the most famous anime ever, so no name calling, alright?

they were probably seen as terrible next to tha jackle skilzzzz. and served on reach with the very few that signed up. so when reach bit the dust so did their forces
-
WONT IT BE COOL TO SEE A SKIRMISHER VS A JACKAL HO WOULD WIN
-
They all died out on Reach because Noble Team kicked their asses into extinction I guess.
-
Reach is actually the only time a Large scale land invasion force has ever been used against human forces. Skirmishers are an Army equivalent of the covenant forces and not as hardy as Brutes, yet still deadly. During the Fall of Reach Brutes were not yet considered an honored part of the Covenant and were only to be deployed sparingly as mercs until they proved their worth. Skirmishers at the time considered to be more reliable and were on the ground to assist in finding the artifacts thought to be on the planet. Due to their intelligence they could be used in this manner without concern that they might detroy or harm the artifacts.

I assume the OP`s name is a spin-off of T2 is RIPPIN (AKA Tom Taylor the MLG God).
-
The Skirmishers got shot in the face with a Chuck Norris.
-
1: they were a subspecies AKA there wasnt many of them. most if not all must have been killed in the furious human resistance. 2: Emile...........
-
Same reason there's no SPARTAN-IIIs in the other Halo games. The Chief simply never ran into them.
Posted by: Burninhell647 All of these ideas are not far from the truth. Here is the real explanation: The members of the UNSC not being able to find insults for the Skirmishers decided to resort to physical violence. They plucked each feather one by one. They then called them "Jackals" which is derived from English slang "Jack all". The Skirmishers knowing that the Brutes had left to grow their hair decided to stay bald. Skirmishers are very clever and knew that it would remind the Brutes of the Reachlings.
You pulled off another, great explanation. + 500 Internetz fur YooU.

Naaaaaaa K mon ,its a defferent time.
-
They ate to much human rice which caused them all to explode!
-
The skimishers on Reach got glassed. I know, right? This is very original.
-
i saw in one halo waypoint video that they said that some species were made extinct by the battle of reach and then they began to talk about the skirmishers and they pointed out that the skirmishers were wiped out by the battle on reach
-
I think there were something that there were so heavy casualties on Reach, and as we know the Kig-Yar, and most likely their Skirmisher cousins as well, are mercenaries, they most likely didn't think that dying for other's religion was worth what they were paid.
-
Early on, most Jackals were too poor to afford shields. They walked into combat, shieldless and vulnerable, dying uselessly at the hands of pistol-wielding marines. Then, with your help, the Jackal Goodwill Foundation donated hundreds of plasma shields to those Jackals who were less fortunate, and by the time Halo was discovered, Jackal poverty was a thing of the past. On behalf of all of us at the Jackal Goodwill Foundation, we thank you for all of your generosity, and ask you to continue making donations at your nearest JGF office. Because Jackals are people too. :,)
Posted by: hitmandw They went extinct because the prophet sent all skirmisher to Reach. By doing so when the planet got glassed all the skirmishers were fried with it, thus leaving no skirmishers alive. Oh, and one more thing the jackals never were really apart of the Covenant, they were told by the Prophet that there cousins ( skirmishers ) were killed by the Humans. So, after they wanted revenge.
I like the made-up one here, very realistic is some ways! Good job!

Bungie comes up with new ideas and then they put them in.
-
becaus whn the first elite in the Halo 004 said "Wort wort wort", they all died of Hyper AIDZ and vanished in the air. canon enough?
-
Well the Kig-yar species (jackals) actually don't follow the Covenant religion, they're really hired as mercenaries and scouts. So the skirmishers were probably only hired for a few certain planetary campaigns such as the Invasion of Reach and NOT Installation 04, Delta Halo, Invasions I and II of Earth, Installation 00, and everything else in the trilogy.
