Also Nirwens Mercy and Messenger but they are not accessible anymore right now. But anyways, I have been putting alot of time into both my spare change and parthian cuz I just so happen to have me some nicey-nice rolls! Interested in everyones thoughts about these weapons. Personally, I love these guns and it took me a minute to understand there place in the crucible and how to use them. Here are my thoughts and what I found to be the most effective ways to use the weapons. Keep in mind..im just a average player and dont claim to be great or know everything. Just my 2 cents here.
First thing I learned is the highest stability possible and counterbalance are the best perks to have. Its still difficult to consistently land 2 burst kills but having a tight bullet spread and small vertical recoil has helped me have more success with the archtype. Also range is very important on these pulses and more than any other pulse arch type in my opinion. Thankfully spare change and parthian both have great base range to begin with but spare change has the best base range at i beleive 65. Range is so important because not only does it tie into your accuracy at range but it keeps your high impact damage numbers in tact. These pulses are best used like a scout rifle and playing the outskirts of the maps and long sight lines will net you the best results. Its best to stay out of hand cannon range outside 30 meters. Also headseeker and glass half full are 2 of my favorite perks but they do not really add much value to these pulses. But they do help with cleaning up kills or specific scenarios like that. But consistency with recoil and stability takes precedence over all other perks.
In this meta where sidearms are the supreme choice I find its best to run a sidearm with these pulses for those close quarters situations. You have all ranges covered. If your aim is true than u can absolutely use these pulses in short range if your landing your crits and strafing strong. The problems with this arch type is the handling and how unforgiving they are. If you miss shots or a burst than you will be punished greatly for it. You needbto find what scopes work best for you but I ultimately found that sureshot helped with handling speed and target aquisition. It also is a very clean scope and is very user friendly. So, the 59/30 pulse rifles are very high risk and high reward weapons and I ultimately think these guns are worth using. Any opinions, pros or cons and tips about these weapons please share. Thank you!

1 ReplyI've played with both and hate them. Sure they're both good against a standing target but I think they suck against moving targets, you miss a burst or some it and you're often dead. I'd much rather play a Mida, distant star or hawksaw archetype pulses.

4 RepliesParthian is awesome. It's two shot killer. I've got Take a Knee,Counter Balance and Perfect Balance. It's a Beast. Use Take A Knee. It's a very underrated perk that's perfect for low fire rate Pulses.

1 ReplyI like Hopscotch Pilgrim better. It's TTK isn't as fast but it feels smoother and with the slightly higher RoF, I think it's a bit more forgiving if you miss a burst.

1 ReplyEdited by Racebum: 3/23/2017 10:23:51 AMThe messenger plays the best if you still have one . parthian shot with braced frame and counterbalance isn't bad but it still is not as good as the messenger The biggest problem with these weapons is hitting moving targets. It makes it a lot less likely to get a 2 burst kill

I have a Spare Change with OK perks. I'm always surprised how well it does.
