Outside of very basic math:
-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
-basic geometry
-simple algebraic equations
examples:
If I'm late for work and have 15 minutes to drive 30 miles, how fast must I drive?
X = 30/15 = 2 miles per minute (60) = 120 mph.
-Calculating taxes on purchases, or how much to tip waiters.
-Calculating how many calories a day you need to burn to meet your weight goal.
Outside of the simple things above^, how much do you actually use the math you learned in high school and college?
All of those formulas and equations...did you brain dump it all, or is any of it still useful for you?

1 ReplyFor about an hour every day. Hooray for school.

Only very, very rarely.
-Calculating taxes on purchases, or how much to tip waiters.
Lol at needing to do that regularly. I like to be able to do a little bit more than basic maths, not necessarily every day or even every week but it comes in handy.

Meth is bad, you should avoid it!

Not once have I used trigonometry outside of math class

2 RepliesI forgot everything but basic math(as you listed) after school. It wasn't needed. But be careful of what you easily forget, it may become important to you later in life. I HATED everything associated with English class... but now it's needed/helpful for an important part of my life(not work related).

Nah I kicked that habit.

5 RepliesMy brain has dumped a lot, but I'm studying mathematics, so I can't exactly escape. Nor do I want to.
