Good players would just drop their stats to get easier matchups. And since many would do that I doubt it would make much of a difference.
I think it could work with SBMM for win 1-4 but after that it should remain based on the scorecard.

I Actually played a few cards of trials this past weekend. At one point we saw 2 out of the 3 opponents with almost no grimore blue gear (mostly) and 1 exp player. I messaged them plain as day asking "guessing you're doing account recoveries?" they quickly and bluntly replied "yea" we proceeded to get stomped by them.

This would eliminate the need for account recoveries for the most part

At least 5. Without expectation of success for at least one milestone no casual will return.
