The blue NF flame buff was a standard in year one. Why was it pulled from Destiny without reason or better yet, why was it removed from Destiny in the first place? Was there a reason it was removed? Was it removed so every can beg for it back?

Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 3/20/2017 7:43:02 PMAs I recall, it was because of the changes they were making to Rep gain, bounties, etc. Plus the Exotic class items ( not the Faction ones) that give you an XP boost, and the Rep boosters (not the current ones), from Taken King.

Copyright i think

1 ReplyI think they didn't like that everyone felt they had to do the Nightfall first thing every week to maximize your XP gains through the week. Now that Destiny 1 is coming to a close, I think they just said "fuck it" and brought it back as a last hurrah or something.
-
Luke $mith wanted us to throw more money at the screen!
-
2 RepliesSo it can be brought back as part of this upcoming flood of, ahem, "new content" 😳😂😂😂😂
-
Huntard were complaining it made Titans too OP...
-
I believe they originally stated that with the buff which came with the flames, they didn't want players to immediately feel like they were required to do nightfall first before any other activity, simply because of the rep boost it gave.
-
Wish it wasn't coming back. Love the boost, hate how the stupid blue flame looks. At least let us turn off the visual.
-
Why bungie keep nerfing things that need a buff and buff things that need a nerf? They are stupid, nothing more.
-
3 RepliesIt gave you an xp buff for the whole week so i think they took it away so people would feel more inclined in buying the xp booster packs.
-
5 RepliesEdited by toddles76: 3/19/2017 12:35:13 AMIt was removed because bungie felt that it made people feel like they had to do the nightfall on tues to maximize the buff. Stupid decision in my opinion all my friends looked forward to Tuesday's and the new nightfalls. I think everything they did to the nightfall at the end of year one was a huge mistake and for the most part stopped doing them shortly into year 2

For the siva transfer crucible week before ROI release.
-
3 RepliesIt was part of the move to make destiny more casual friendly. The blue flame was considered (incorrectly ) to be elitist....
-
Because when one person is allergic to peanuts, it's taken away for everyone.
-
6 RepliesSame bullshit excuse they used for getting rid of elemental primaries. "It was forcing players to feel like they had to do the nightfall before anything else to get the most use of their xp boost." Which was true but it wasn't a problem.
-
Because Luke Smith is an Asshat and he wanted us to throw money at our screens. New players can look up what that refers to.
-
3 RepliesTo slow player progression. Keep the players playing.
-
1 ReplyTook us nearly 3 years to get the complete game because they kept taking things away and leaving things behind. I love Destiny but that's just F'd up.
-
6 RepliesEdited by joey big guns: 3/19/2017 2:04:02 AMBecause people on these forums are easily placated by dangling things in front of them that they want to take their attention off something else...like the fact that Destiny 2 is suppose to release this year but they haven't said one peep about it....I smell another terdnugget of a game coming our way.
-
It was removed because they tweaked the amount of XP you get from everything else because Taken King was coming it with 20 XP levels.
-
Removed to allow XP booster purchase from Eververse. Reason given: to remove the need to do nightfalls on reset in order to gain an XP boost!
-
So they could add it back
-
We lost it because of microtransactions. No other reason but that. You gotta buy xp boosters now.
-
It was removed for the same reason as elemental primaries - people who didn't complete those activities thought it was unfair.
-
3 Replies" We’ve brought the Nightfall buff back"...this is Bungie news. Please. I don't understand...what is Nightfall buff?
-
1 ReplyFor me it felt like. hey you....you are walking about this tower looking like a special snowflake, and we don't want to offend anyone who don't have a team to complete the nightfall. Don't worry, you can still do the nightfall but we don't want other people feeing left out
