Yep there is no reason this doesn't happen. If the special economy worked like this from the start no special weapons would have been nerfed and there never would have been a special meta.

Just wondering if you have been around since the release of Destiny? If so, do you not remember this exotic weapon called the VEX? If you undo all special weapon nerfs (fusion rifles) then those that have it will simply equip the vex and wreck in pvp. It acted like an auto rifle sniper. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

The reason the VEX is a shadow of its former self is that it has been hit by vex specific nerfs and also every fusion rifle Nerf. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

If you were around you would remember Vex was nerfed when less than 10 percent of the player base had it. Most players never faced it only saw it in videos. The Vex nerf was the beginning of a long list of nerfs PvP and PvE which ruined the game.

The first VEX Nerf was a 38% damage Nerf. Sadly it wasn't actually the first Nerf. That happened on day 1 of Destiny release. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
