Would Bungie be able to bring Peter Dinklage aka Dinklebot back to Destiny 2 as Ghost?
I mean Bungie has surely said they improve the tremendously over learning of what the players want.
Now I am wondering you guys think they'd hire Peter Dinklage to voice Ghost again? Because I missed his voice acting in Destiny.
Nolan North is great don't get me wrong, but as someone who enjoyed Game of Thrones, and found out while playing Destiny in Year 1 he voices your Ghost, I was super excited to journey with him.
But sadly he was given some choppy lines that I believed made him had to have some misguided dialogue.
I don't mind Nolan North, but I feel his portrayal as Ghost to be too excited and too immature for a sentient A.I
Peter's interpretation made actual sense as his "boring characteristics" as people say made Ghost in Year 1 more believable and a good representation of how an A.I should kind of act.
Nolanbot ruined the "WE AWOKEN THE HIVE" And a "Cell FROM THE PRISON OF ELDERS!!!!"
I wish Bungie could bring him back but I know he's too busy with other projects.
But you think Bungie by now has enough money to pay Peter more for the part.

Samuel L. Jackson would be cool, but I'd prefer the voice actor for Archer and Bobs Burgers lol Kappa

Though he might have been hurt by Bungie's last minute "remix" of the story....I don't think he gave a very good performance. 3. Emotionally he was often out of sync with what was going on around him....and he played the Ghost with an annoying combination of R2-D2's swagger, and C-3POs anxious hand-wringing. With two different characters, the combination works in a sort of Rosencrantz-and-Gildernstern style comic relief. But combined in the same character its unrealistic and annoying. 4. Although Nolan North's voice is less pleasing to the ear than Dinklages, North gave a MUCH better overall performance. The Ghost has a consistent personality, sort of playing Alfred Pennyworth (butler) to our Batman/Bruce Wayne....with a dash of Indiana Jones' reluctant heroism thrown in for good measure. If you can get past the nasal voice, the character is quite likeable. Which was a term I never used in describing Dinklages interpretation of Ghost. Bottomline, Diniklage is a great actor....but he's great at a very different kind of acting than doing voice-overs for animation. Just because you're good at one, doesn't always mean you're good at the other.

Now, dinklebot always sounded like he was about to fall asleep. Nolan North actually sounds [b]effing alive[/b] when recording the lines. I think yall are just nostalgic. Honestly Northbot actually sounds like there was effort put into the voice lines.

I think Alex Baldwin doing Donald Trump would be the way to go. Instead of set lines it would all be random nonsense and the tower advisors would have come on to say what's actually happening.

1 ReplyI remember watching a special about Peter's lines. They were originally written to be very funny but were vetoed to what he was given instead. I like your description of Nolan. Before the only word I could think of was flamboyant. He becomes very annoying very quickly and it does seem like you're traveling with a small child.

Why? The whole community was in a rage about Dinklage had pooped the part. Then bungo changed it and then everyone wanted the first guy back because he was gone and ya, no! I don't care who they get or if there will even be ghosts. If the voices are what make or break it for me then there might be a bigger problem.

Option 5 could be multiple personality ghost that randomly mashes them together and they can bicker.. Few I preferred Dinklebot.

Dinklage was basically ripped a new one over his voice acting as Ghost. Why the hell would he do that again? Secondly, all the ghosts have different personalities. If you've read enough of the grimiore, you'd know that, So your interpretation that the ghost AI's boring characteristics would believable is wrong.
