The real problem is that most players are special ammo warriors. Whether it's shotguns, fusions, or snipers, they rather run around with them as a primary. The problem isn't just sidearms. It's that special ammo weapons are not used for special situations but for every situation. Which is why side arms are overused now and shotguns were overused before.
Also, side arms are only seeing play because of the ammo changes and since shotguns are literally nerfed to the ground (since the in air inaccuracy), snipers have flinch, and fusions are pretty good, though not as popular as the rest.
Special weapon warriors are the real victims of this patch. As for me, I'm a hand cannon warrior, so it doesn't affect me.

To make my point clear. Sidearms aren't op, just over used due to the patch changes.

All bungie had to do was buff primaries more to compete with them

2 RepliesThey arent op. They, just like last meta, are over used. You can literally run around a match and not once pull out a primary. Did it yesterday lol. I and alot of people love this meta at first but now we are all sick of it already.

1 ReplyThey ain't op dude, here is some advice I learned early on, don't listen to a these twats on here when they spout their bollocks from their sub-human, under-bites, they can just about hold a controller, use what ever the feck you like, as long as it's not NLB! If you use that your a total c¥#t!!!
-
2 RepliesOh..... thanks for making that clear....you know because I'm sure only a few intellectuals could've figured that out.... you must be one of these people... FI.....
-
Or maybe its because primaries have been crap since year 1.

1 ReplyEdited by donkykongo: 3/15/2017 8:08:38 PMHand cannon warrior? With your 2 hand cannon kills during last week's trials... And almost 100 sidearms kills...
2 -blam!-en hand cannon kills!
10 RepliesHunter is a class not a race but good try
-
Phenomenal post. I agree 100 percent. I'll add that special annoying warrior are just scrubs in my eyes.

Edited by Insatiable: 3/16/2017 3:16:53 PMHandcanons have / always will be an issue with this game . A truly problematic weapon class that needs serious reworks or removal from destiny 2 ( for pvp at least ) if they keep crucible maps at current sizes. You are a perfect example running that 87 impact archetype of handcannnons, least skill and precision required with them , but highest reward.

3 RepliesBungie should give us full capacity of each special weapon at the beginning of the match, remove the crates and no loss of ammo at death. Then we will be able to manage the ammo. We will decide if we use them at first to gain advantage or save it for the end and close the match.

They should make wormwood harder to get
-
"Over used".....
-
I don't find sidearms op. I do, however, find getting killed by wormwood annoying. Yes, sidearms are the meta. But dang, doesn't mean wormwood is the only sidearm to use lol.
-
This is 100% true. It's a shame your post doesn't seem to be getting traction. Snipers that could be used mid to long rang Shot-guns at close to near-mid And now side-arms at close, mid and even mid-long. They're primaries, not specials.
-
Anyone who says side arms are op has never tagged anyone with a Telesto
-
I mostly agree there not op just overused. But they wouldn't be the first weapons/thing to receive a nerf because of over use.

5 RepliesEdited by Boz: 3/15/2017 5:29:04 PMThis post is fully hilarious. Last weekend in trials you literally got ZERO primary weapon kills. By far the majority of your kills were with a sidearm, with sniper (NLB) a close second. Why do you come on here and preach such utter rubbish?
-
They can out gun auto rifles at basically any range
-
This is common sense. I switched back to shotty. Tons more fun
-
8 RepliesPlease describe a "special" situation.

Who cares
-
I haven't played in a couple weeks. I found it too easy to be a sunsinger and spam solar grenades. As they burn i chase with sidearm and melee. Doing this with jabberhakke w/battle runner and crowd control is funny.

2 RepliesI find it interesting with this last patch... Bungie simultaneously achieved 2 things: 1. They nerfed shotguns to the ground (even though they said they didn't want to) 2. They forced everyone to use a weapon class that very effectively counters a shotgun rusher. So now that players have this sidearm play ready to go, they can use it to counter shotguns if the special ammo economy gets buffed again.

Every1 say its OP so it gets nerfed and we get special ammo back
