Borderlands 2 Assassin Build
I've been told that Psychos are the best class, but I'm personally in love with Zero. Right now, I'm only on my first playthrough, and I have all of my points into the Bloodlust tree. I don't know if this is a good choice or not, but it's just what I've been rolling with. I really like the Many Must Fall perk (every melee kill while invisible makes your invisibility timer extend) and my new favorite is Followthrough (with the class mod I'm using, I get 70% more melee damage and movement speed and around 60% more gun damage for a short time after a kill). I also use a gun that does 200% more melee damage, I have all the melee perks maxed out, and so it's working really well. Any tips?

Melee Zer0 is decent for mobbing but if you want a melee build you should probably go with Kreig. A B0re build is probably the best for Zer0, it took me a long time to realize it because I used a melee build until I got to like op3.

I play as zero as well and I invested in the middle tree first (can't remember what it is called) and from what I've seen, the kunai do a lot of damage to bosses.

Edited by Murph Tha Smurf: 3/13/2017 4:56:40 PMMelee zero is pretty powerful, and if you're high level with the right loot, you can respec into sniping to one shot certain raid bosses. On the other hand, Krieg may be the most fun to play (by some accounts, for me it's Siren), but by no means is he objectively the best. Though all the characters are close (except commando, poor guy) Siren, Mechromancer, and Gunzerker are definitely stronger. Gunzerker is a little boring though, and the others are just preference. Krieg and Zero are more of a middle ground, almost equal to eachother.

I've been playing as Zer0 since the very beginning I'd personally recommend death blossom and bore which especially works if you possess the conference call

1 ReplyFor your melee Zero I must recommend getting the Law and Order combo, it is only a 100% melee bonus compared to the Rapier's 200%, but using Law and Order together heals you for 25% of damage done with a melee. If you want to use a sniper rifle later on, the Pimpernel is going to be your best bet, it's a quest reward and it's easy to get. Also when paired with a be it's nearly game breaking. As far as everyone saying "play Gunzerker", he is very overpowered later on but is incredibly boring to play and to level, I can't recommend playing him to a new player.

I love the bloodlust tree. I rolled with pistols and shotguns to combo with it. I think you have a great build going! On a side note the assassin was my favorite class until I used Gaige's Anarchy build. Coupled with the ricochet bullets perk and a high rof smg and you never have to aim!!

Gunslinger is the best build, Psycho is ok until you max him. Then he's stupidely powerful against enemies in Merle range. He's a fun character because of his play style though. Changes the game up a lot.

I absolutely love Gaige, by far my favourite character. Unfortunately against a gunzerker with a bee shield and a couple double penetrating unkempt harolds or sand hawks, theres no comparison with damage. The sniper tree on the assassin however deals some mega damage

Zer0 has massive burst damage (with both the sniper and melee trees), especially once you get a good roid shield like the Love Thumper. Get the rapier, a good roid shield, and fill out the middle and right trees and he can one shot most enemies in the game, including most bosses, and easily clear rooms without ever being seen.

If I were to make a Psycho, what build would I use for the bosses? I know that he can one shot with Captain Blade's rifle.

Bloodlust is good for mobbing, I used it for a long time.

Sounds like your doing pretty good. Lots of build advice on YouTube and I'm pretty sure the gearbox forum has different builds to look at.
