Group Moderation Request: User Search

Please, please, please consider bringing back user search features. It's almost impossible to remove people from a group I'm an admin for and there are habitual offenders that I can only report to the Ninjas. It would be so great to be able to stop them from posting entirely since I can only remove their posts so fast.

  • Not entirely clear what the ramifications or purpose of something like this would be. If you are a ninja then I assume that you have the power to ban people who violate the code of conduct thus preventing them from posting anything else for the period of that ban. If a ban applies only to the post and not the individual concerned then I certainly think that the ninjas should have the ability to look at that individuals total posts in order to decide whether to ban just the offending post or the individual. Everyone is capable of falling from the highest standards of behaviour occasionally in the heat of a debate and the ninjas should be in a position to easily judge whether that is the case or whether that individual is an unrepentant troll deserving of a total ban for a particular length of time If you are talking about a private group then I am not sure why you just can't remove the offenders from that group thereby preventing them from posting If you are a private individual policing the forums then whilst you have the absolute right to report any post which you find offensive it is ultimately the ninjas decision to determine whether a particular post fails to meet the required code of conduct. I see blatant examples of tribalism on this forum and I do not think that private individuals should have more power. Thus we come full circle back to my original point. I apologise if I am somehow missing the point of your post or if I am being too simplistic in my response
