Wrath of the Machine: Lore/Mechanics

"Where Light ends, evolution begins." How Wrath of the Machine works, the backstory of the bosses, and why we're even doing the raid will be answered in this post. This raid is mostly about needing to stop the Devil Splicers themselves now, instead of stopping SIVA itself, which we've already done. It weighs heavily on evolution, and how the Splicers(or at least Aksis) are supposedly "Perfected" through SIVA. Foundry 113, the raid entrance At first, once your team arrives here, you'll need to get going. There are white lights scattered throughout the map, and three spinners. Split up into three teams of two, one guard and one runner. Vosik will spawn here, and will obviously try to hinder your progress. But at this moment, he isn't important. The runner will go around their section of the map, running through lights known as voltage. You'll need to collect it and bring it back to the spinner to power it. Collecting voltage increases your agility, which helps, as you need to go through 4 voltage areas in order to reach "Voltage Maxed." At this pount, you should return to your spinner, and dump the voltage into the spinner to power it. You'll need to do this 4 times. Note that while collecting Voltage, you have 15 seconds to get to the next Voltage area or deliver it, if on Voltage Maxed, or you die from electricity.
According to the SIVA charge card, the foundry and spinners are how the Splicers make their SIVA charges. That's what the voltage is for too. When Vosik shows up, he's trying to stop us from making our own charges, but is unsuccessful. Vosik then opens the door to the entrance to escape inside.
Guards, your job is also quite important. Occasionally Voltage Eaters, shanks resembling the S.A.B.E.R.-2(from the Fallen Saber strike) will spawn. They will try to steal your voltage, as the name implies. Don't let them, as it slows down progress. They are relatively weak, so a grenade followed by a few rounds should kill them. Once the spinners are completely charged, they will begin to dispense SIVA charges, which you will pick up and throw at Vosik, to lower his shields. Throw the charges at the same time. When his shields fall, shoot him. This only lasts for a short time, and his shield will reappear once again. Repeat this until Vosik reaches about 10% health, and retreats inside. Once he does, you will follow him, and you'll have entered the raid. Vosik, the Archpriest ----- Before we go into the mechanics of this encounter, I'd like to do a little backstory on Vosik.
Vosik, the Archpriest, maintains Aksis' body. He is second-in-command in the Devil Splicer hierarchy, and has been clearly enhanced by SIVA.
----- Before you start, you'll want to split up. 2 on left, 2 on middle, 2 on right. Notice three spinners, above you in your sections. There are also four rooms on the left and right sides. These act as safe rooms, for when SIVA density goes critical. You can only use them once. You'll be waiting for SIVA charges to appear to throw them at Vosik. But, once all the charges have been thrown at Vosik, a monitor behind him will light up. Everyone should shoot these. If you fail to do so, SIVA density will go critical, and you will need to use the safe room that lights up. This is bad, as you'll want to have all 4 for later. Breaking the monitor successfully, however, releases more SIVA charges, which means more of Vosik's shield drops, allowing you to damage him. Vosik then regains his shield, and causes SIVA density to go critical, which is why you need all 4 rooms. When you're inside, shoot/melee the switch inside, which activates it and protects you from Vosik's attack. You'll repeat this four times or less, as you only have four rooms. Do this, and Vosik dies. His dream of worlds falling has ended. Siege Engine -----
Shiro tells us that the Fallen built the Siege Engine as some sort of war machine.
----- After killing Vosik, you will have reached the Apex. You'll notice a barrier in the distance. Once you reach it, a cutscene of the Siege Engine activating will play, and will begin moving towards you. Shoot the turrets off of the Engine, as they expose a glowing orange core, much like a Walker. You'll want to shoot that. Shoot the turrets on the Skiffs too, as they deal a surprising amount of damage. Once enough damage has been dealt, an area on the left side of the Engine will fall off, allowing you to hop inside, and not be crushed by the Engine and the barrier. After colliding with it, the Engine will break down, and needs replacement parts. Near the second barrier, a Skiff will drop off a group of Fallen. Kill them, and the Skiff drops the components needed to fix the Engine. Upon dropping, a hidden timer starts. If the timer ends and the Engine isn't repaired, it explodes. DO NOT LOSE THE PARTS. If you do, the Siege Engine immedaitely explodes, as you lost the part, and cannot replace it. These parts are heavy, and cause a debuff, slowing you and inhibiting your ability to jump. You can only carry it for 10 seconds, at which point you receive another debuff, which stops you from carrying it for 10 seconds. Those that are not carrying should be clearing the way for those that are. This includes destroying mines and killing Fallen. Finally, you will encounter Meksis, Siege Engineer. He will try to stop you from getting on board and stop the carriers from getting the parts in, so kill him and fix the Engine. Once you get all the parts in the right places, the Engine begins movement, and you have completed this encounter. Aksis, Archon Prime(Phase 1) ----- I'd like to talk about Aksis as well.
Formerly the Archon Priest of the Devils, Aksis has completely merged with SIVA. He has removed his organic material, and waits in his Perfection Complex for offerings of SIVA.

The Perfection Complex is probably the location where the directive for SIVA is put in. Offerings of SIVA from the Archon's Forge come here, and it's where Fallen get spliced with SIVA.

Aksis is the mind that controls SIVA, but that mind is no longer Aksis, if that makes any sense. Aksis and SIVA have merged completely giving SIVA a kind of pseudo-consciousness through a complete merging.
-Saint
----- After going through the Server Farm, the team will reach the Perfection Complex, and put an end to Aksis. Stepping in the cloud of SIVA starts the encounter. Again, like with Vosik, split up into left, right, and middle. When you've killed most of the enemies, 3 Captains will spawn. One Null, one Scorch, and one Shock. Which Captain appears where is random. Take their cannons when you kill them. One person will be the cannon wielder, and the other will throw the SIVA charge. After the cannons are claimed, Special Servitors will spawn. They must be killed by the matching element of the cannon(Scorch Cannon on Scorch Servitor, etc.) Hold down the trigger on the cannon shot, as it takes a fully charged shot to kill it. If you don't kill one, you wipe. Each servitor drops a SIVA charge when they die. The cannon bearer can't use the SIVA charges, so the three that haven't used them habe to take them and throw them at the SIVA panels around Aksis. Aksis then summons a lot of Shanks, and the cycle repeats 3 times, first with 2 panels, then 3, then 7. After this, Aksis powers down. Shoot him in the chest to continue the final encounter. Aksis, Archon Prime(Phase 2) After shooting Aksis, he will fuse with his legs, and summons more Shanks. Aksis uses two attacks now, exploding SIVA bolts and swarm bombs that create hazardous regions where they were shot. He also tends to teleport; make sure you're behind cover, and know where he is. Areas Aksis can teleport to are marked by yellow hazard stripes. There are 4 of these, left, right, center, and back. In the beginning of the phase, Aksis will only use the left, right, and his starting platform as teleporting locations. Just like last time, three elemental Captains will spawn, and you have to match the element with the right Servitor, and then kill it. When they drop SIVA charges, direct them towards Aksis. During this, three random people will become Empowered, which buffs your speed and gives you a blue, glowing effect. Make sure there is one Empowered person per area. Once Aksis is damaged by the SIVA charges, he teleports. The Empowered person closest will jump on to Aksis and discharge their power, stunning him, which then leaves him temporarily weak. The Empowered buff is then randomized again, so make sure there's only one Empowered person per area. Those not Empowered should damage Aksis, as he is vulnerable during the entire time. During the third cycle, Aksis will be stunned for a much longer time, so do everything in your power to get as much damage on him as possible. Aksis will then recover, and cause SIVA density to go critical. At that point, you will go to one of the 4 glowing pillars behind where you entered. Just like with the safe rooms on Vosik, these pillars can only be used once. Once Aksis has a little amount of health left, he will use his Critical SIVA Density attack again, but will remain vulnerable. Kill him before he finishes the attack. You have ended Aksis' evolution, and brought light to the Perfection Complex.
Master Lore
