Edited by MiggyXP: 3/20/2017 12:38:22 PMI've seen two drop in less than five minutes on the Valus strike. Killed the taken champion who has dropped two exotics for me a few times and then killed Valus in less than five minutes later and got another exotic. It's happened plenty of times for me to be convinced there is no cool down. It's all a matter of RNG. It could be a true 10% drop rate and take ten times to use or you could get lucky and get back to back on the low drop rate. It's just a numbers thing.

I never listened to the cool down. I pop them once the effect has worn off. I have gotten exotics consecutively or longer then usual, that's kind of what you have to expect with rng.
-
I think there might be a cooldown period but it doesn't make the chance of getting the exotic engram 0%. Your chances would just be a bit less than usual after receiving one. Just good RNG being the reason for getting multiple drops in quick succession.

I got five pairs of exotic boot engrams in a row farming the Ultra Knight. No stopping in between. Get in, kill him, get out. Cooldown has always been bs.
-
You are also more likely to get good rewards if you haven't played in a while.

Nobody cares about this demon that ruined the excitement in earning exotics.

Not necessarily, it's rumoured that the cool down is 10min. Is it possible that the matches lasted longer than 10min?

Edited by WulfPak666: 3/5/2017 3:39:50 AMThe 3oC cooldown is completely RNG to me. I could run through Challenge of Elders, An hour worth of strikes, a dozen crucible maps and got nothing.. But my friend literally gets 3 exotic drops almost every time we run Challenge of Elders. And it only takes like 2-3 mins per boss if the modifiers are decent.

ToC cool down...?
