Since Bungie is not your retailer, they cannot reimburse you for the disk. That can only be done by whomever you purchased it from and if you're still covered by their warranty. If you are not covered by warranty and cannot find a (used) disk version of the game, you can always purchase the Destiny: The Collection Upgrade package. That should provide what you need. It's also half the price of the full game.

  • Thats the thing when I contacted PSN they were going to gladly download Destiny unto my console however because I already own dlc digitally they couldn't download it because it gave them as well as me an error message saying because I already own "x" and "y" I couldn't upgrade. Thats when the guy I was in contact with suggested I contact Bungie. I guess its a way of the system saying "hey you already own this or a part of it don't waste your money"

  • It's possible they were trying through a different method. As I said, Bungie does not deal with licenses or purchases are that's through Microsoft, Sony, and your retailer. When you look up Destiny: The Collection Upgrade, does it say you can buy it?

  • You're right, I can buy it. I believe the reason why the guy didn't mention it was because he was looking for the least amount of stuff with it that why when he attempt to 'purchase' the taken king it didn't work. As well as because he knew i wanted just the base game. If what you said about Bungie not dealing with licenses is true than I'll delete this post and deal with it with Sony and I'll probably just get the collection upgrade.

  • No worries! They were probably just looking at the wrong thing when they were trying to help you, but yeah. You're buying the license from them in this case, so this is in their "jurisdiction," so to speak. Don't worry about moving this thread or anything as it's more than welcome to ask questions like that here. I hope everything works out!

  • The guy seem to really want to solve my issue if I tell them that he was looking at the wrong collection and not the upgrade version do you think they'll download it or do you think I'll have to buy it

  • You'll most likely have to purchase it. Since you didn't purchase the disk from PlayStation, I doubt they'd cover it since the damages weren't caused by them.
