Ghost Recon Wildlands is way more fun than I expected. The hype videos I saw looked fairly poor, especially the banter between the players. But when I started playing, I was pleasantly surprised by how good (most) of it felt. Customization is amazing and I love the characters you can make, from a counterterrorist operator from CSGO to Fidel Castro. The banter between the characters, if you look past the deadpan voice acting, is endearing at worst. While the car physics need work and helicopters are horrible to attack with, the game is polished in many aspects. Little things like kicking you out of drones/binoculars if you start getting spotted and enemies stopping to check their tires if you shoot the tire with a suppressed weapon, the game is just fun to play. And when you bring friends (as with all games) it gets better hundredfold.
There's nothing better than a friend pulling up in a Honda Civic while being attacked by a UNIDAD army and having everyone pile into the seats while you accidentally dive into the trunk before a high speed chase that ends in far too many Apaches turning all of you into a fiery smear!

I liked it. The main character was a pretty major douche, but w/e. I won't get the game, but I had fun.
