Warframe sticks you on an NBA team and says "This is a basketball, GO!" Unless you have someone pass on the knowledge of how to play the game, it seems far too vast and complicated at first glance.
My advice for noobs: finish the first questline and then do the solar relays to acquire more stuffs, then farm for your first built frame, and ultimately join a clan.

I didn't really know anyone who played it, so when I started playing I didn't understand anything which is why I un-installed it.

Same here, then I gave it a second go and found friends to play it with. Unlike Destiny, I have no personal discrepancies against DE or their age in the same way I now resent Bungie.[spoiler]Apart from their very restrictive CoC that is.[/spoiler]

So many videos now. Iflynn has some nice beginner vids in small chunks to easily pick up on the game. Plus, the wiki is a must!
