I'm willing to be labeled ungrateful to have my opinion and criticisms.
-
There's criticism and then there's what often happens where nobody offers and alternative and tends to be something along the lines of "OMG (Company) SUX DIS GAEM IZ DED"
-
The second is very annoying, I know. But there is genuine things to hold DE accountable for.
-
Which things? If it has to do with balances, nerfs, and other things of the such I won't accept that
-
They've developed a habit of disregarding the wishes of players. A lot of recent changes alienate veteran players who new players now have an even higher reliance on due to De further increasing the grind and attempting to implement things to make that grind even more difficult.

Edited by ISAACOFDOOM: 3/1/2017 3:59:27 AMJust in case I'm mistranslating this, could you give some examples of DE disregarding player wishes
-
Of course. Prime example would be vacuum. People wanted it for all companions, instead they made it so that all sentinels could use vacuum but none of the pets. I'll be honest, this one doesn't affect me but it has pissed off a lot of people, including friends of mine. Then we have relics. Also something that pissed off the player base by simply adding more layers of grind on to farming for prime items. Whilst this system has some convenience to it but it's come at a cost for other conveniences.

Edited by ISAACOFDOOM: 3/1/2017 4:49:34 AMI think people need to SUCK it up about the vacuum thing (funny not funny pun) I'm the kind of guy that thinks: hey, if a black man owns a shop and refuses whites, no biggie. If a white man refuses blacks, no problem. If a gay refuses straights, or straight refuses gay no big deal. In my eyes they are the business owners. They have rights to what they own, what they've built, what they made. In my eyes it works the same for DE: it's the game they made and they gave us to play. It's their place and they own it, they have the right to do whatever they want with it even completely take it away from people, not one person but the entire community. The way I see it we are mere guests in an outstanding settlement and the people sitting on the other side of the room are screaming at the top of their lungs: WE ARE LAZY!!! WE HAVE GROWN TOO FOND OF THE CARRIER AND WANT THE MAIN ABILITY THAT MAKES CARRIER A CARRIER TO BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL!!! DE in my eyes shouldn't even had stooped as low as to put vacuum as an ability for all sentinels. I mean don't you remember the days before carrier? When you actually had to pick things up? To me relics was a fine addition and I could care less. For me the fun is the grind. It's the journey. From 0 to max MR. I haven't spent nearly as much time as others in this game but I'm MR 15 on PS4 and 7 on PC (finished my first PC about a week and a half ago) and I while I may not have spent as much time, i dread the day my time ends. If I could I would have this game go on forever. Or at least to like MR50-60

I completely understand your view and funnily enough I usually play without any kind of companion whenever I do play on occasion these days. Frankly my problems tend to differ from the norm but I tend to understand both sides of the issues normally raised.
-
On a side note, I apologize if it's a chore to read these text walls
-
It's fine. It's refreshing to talk to someone who's willing to defend Warframe without calling me entitled.
-
I agree, I was surprised to have this conversation go past the first response. Most just went quiet or responded with random name calling and saying that I was stubborn and wouldn't understand
-
Edited by ISAACOFDOOM: 3/1/2017 5:00:34 AMI too can see things from both sides but I feel that both sides can at times act in unnecessary ways. I actually forgot what it was like to go without a carrier after around 500 hours on PS4 It had been so long. Most of my friends were: A: casual Or B: upset because they felt that the game wasn't expanding fast enough for them, as they had played for so long they were approaching the final mastery ranks. They planned to take a year long hiatus from the game and return when the game had more. With this i was the almost only active member of my clan. So I built a PC (not exclusively for Warframe, I had started building and hadn't even thought about PC Warframe at the time) and with it got a fresh start. Wow though. It was outstanding. It was what I was looking for. A way to purge my stats and start fresh. A reset. While some would complain and say they didn't want to regrind, I was and always will be the opposite: obsessed/addicted to the grind that is Warframe. I honestly could take just about anything DE could throw at me and just not care.
-
People will complain even if the game was perfect. I, like yourself don't mind the grinding (or what I like to say "playing"). On the other hand, I can see where people would get pissed. Its the same thing Destiny did when they made all yr1 weapons useless. I was pissed! Spent a lot of time getting those weapons and now they are trash. Ultimately I cooled down because now I had a reason to grind (play) again. Loot shooter for life here!
-
Yeah, except almost all weapons here are still viable. Just because they can't beat lvl 400+ in the simulacrum doesn't mean they aren't good. Even after massive needs most weapons and can still hold their own especially for veteran players
-
Being that I actually just started playing a couple months ago, I don't have a clue what got nerfed. My soma prime melts stuff and I'm happy.....well for now!
-
Ash did recently but he's still great
-
See ,I don't have ash...ignorance is bliss!!
-
I do think they should try to draw older players closer even if it's only for the reason of having a guide for newbies, however I could care less about the constant changes or nerfs. I can't think of a single instant where a nerf to a frame or weapon I used actually hindered me enough to make me angry or complain. I would either just switch up a few mods here and there or just pick up another one of my like 7 favorite melees or 3 favorite sidearms or 20 favorite primary's to use. When it comes to drawing older players closer and convincing casuals to move past MR 12 I think they should input more galatine and Tigris prime weapons. Syndicate and prime primary's that are only available in In intervals of like MR 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, etc.
-
A dedicated player will adapt, yes. It just becomes disheartening to some players when weapons or frames they have spent a lot of resources to make powerful have these resources be rendered wasted through a nerf or rework that requires people to switch to change up their build or switch to something completely different to remain viable in high level play.
-
True, but nobody seems to understand how to state them in a way that would indicate them being a normal human being.
-
I agree with this. I don't understand why people are upset
-
It's because they're all terribly entitled. Everyone wants a different thing, then is upset when statistics are used for balancing over the heavily skewed ideas of communities. I've seen the same thing on Warframe forums lol
