So I've noticed every since day one the annoyance that is melee trading.
Every match that I get into it happens at least once. I melee somebody, they melee me, I melee them and they die (or so I think) and I somehow get killed by the same person's melee.
Now I understand that there are perks for your gear that gives you a faster melee speed, but I've noticed that it doesn't seem to matter if either of you have it.
For example, I was playing a Crucible match a few days ago with a couple of my friends and I got melee traded. I got the first hit as well (keep in mind my Gauntlets had an increased melee speed perk). I had gear that gave me a faster melee speed. I asked my friends to give me the roll of the Titan's grips. I was told he had "catapult and void resistance (or whatever the perk is)".
My point is that melee trading should not
be possible. You get the first hit in them and in most cases you should be able to get the second hit and walk off to fight somebody else.

It's is a matter of latency, a small amount of lag causes events to register at different times and as a result both players die.
