Halo 3 Campaign conquered with zero shots fired, no deaths, Legendary
I've spent the last few months attempting to beat the Halo 3 campaign on Legendary [b] without shooting [/b] and [b] without dying [/b]. No one had ever completed Sierra 117, Crow's Nest, The Covenant, or The Ark this way, and at first I wasn't sure it was even possible.
Now, I have completed the entire campaign Zero Shot, with 8 of 9 world record speedruns (all except Floodgate; see highspeedhalo.net). Check out my fileshare for the videos, they are all worth watching:

This marks the first game in the Halo series to be completed this way. In my opinion, it was much more difficult than Mythic/SLASO. Think about getting past the Sierra jackal snipers, or the Nest drones, or Scarabs, or entire rooms of Brutes without being able to fire a single bullet.
So please, enjoy the show. The sum total is less than 3 hours (2 hours, 54 minutes, and 53 seconds to be precise). At 2x speed on your theater, that's less than 1.5 hours, like an everyday movie but more BA.

Note 1: Unfortunately, there is no verification of shooting on the Game Stats. You have to watch the films to see that I don't shoot. Also, I enabled Iron Skull on all missions so you know I didn't die. The only exception is Halo, where I was doing a practice run where I expected deaths and I never died. Watch the film for verification.
Note 2: I followed High Speed Halo's description of Zero Shot runs here: "Zero Shot runs for Halo 3 are the same as normal runs, but with a couple extra rules: Grenades and Melees ONLY; Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer and Equipment are fully allowed; must be Legendary Single Player; Campaign Scoring and The Iron Skull must be turned on (no deaths). You may drive vehicles, but cannot shoot them yourself. You may have a marine or elite in your gunner seat who is shooting. Special Rule: Due to the reasons stated in this forum post ([url]http://highimpacthalo.org/forum/showpost.php?p=603679&postcount=10[/url]) we consider the Killing of 343 Guilty Spark during the Halo Mission to be an "Active Cut Scene" and not part of regular game play. Therefore the shooting of 343 Guilty Spark will be allowed for a Zero Shot Halo run."

Its a shame when people accuse others of break their own rules, if you've read the rules in the OP then you would know the Guilty Spark cutscene does not count, and is treated as an interactive cutscene, not just by him, but by thousands of speed runners. The 3 "headshots" you claim are from npc's, and if you've bothered to try and validate your assumption then you would know you are wrong. This man deserves Recon, and about you saying no-one will get flaming armor, have you seen the Reach trailers? You must've skipped out on that then. Next time you wish to try to put down something that you yourself cannot do, at least have valid points, yours are just for arguing for the sake of argument.

With the gravity hammer, i understand, because it gives you melee kills, but the sl.....you need that for the level. it would be awsome and recon worthy if you beat the monitor wihout shooting the laser, but it is part of the game. unavoidable. [/quote] For the Ark scarab, I believe I used a chopper to fly onto it and melee the core. On the covenant chieftains, I used grenades and melees. Its definitely not easy. @ everyone else, all speedruns require skill, luck, and dedication, and you are fooling yourself if you think its just "running past everything." I agree they are not for everybody, so if you find yourself uninterested then there are plenty of montages and enjoyable machinimas elsewhere. But I love them, as do thousands of others, so we will continue to pursue our interests and share the results for our community to enjoy. And guys, zero shot does not mean no kills. In most levels you need to kill things to proceed, making a no kill "pacifist" campaign clearly impossible.
