Trials has never been a true test of skill. It has always been biased to one side as soon as they win a round.
However, while being bored out of my mind, i thought of something that could make trials great again *unintentional trump reference*.
Here is what i propose:
1st round: no special ammo, no heavy. Just primaries.
2nd round: all special ammo, limited primary ammo. (This should bring lots of strategies)
3rd round: heavy round, no special. But keep primaries
4th round: just primaries once more, but people should have their supers by then.
5th and final round: Unleash hell with everything.
For close matches: that's for you bungo or the comments to decide, bc I can't really think of anything else
For anyone who has any ideas on how to make this idea even better, or anything that they think is stupid, feel free to comment below.

Edited by kellygreen45: 2/27/2017 3:38:06 PMTrials needs to be thrown out and replaced with a ranked playlist. Trials was a bad idea from the start and is broken beyond redemption.

The only way to get people back interested in playing Trials is if they drop the ideology of average players aren't meant to go flawless. IMO Trials of Osiris should follow the same reputation system used in Iron Banner, bounties offer some XP the only other way to gain XP is by winning games.

No thanks

The best thing for them to do is remove trials altogether

Edited by a paid actor: 2/27/2017 12:39:51 PMOr just make it skirmish.
not everyone likes elimination
Why not make two types of trials matches. One for players that have never been flawless, and one for players that have been flawless. the players that have been flawless can't go in to the lobby with players dat never have been flawless. So that every one has a chance to go to the lighthouse atleast one time. Because it sucks being put up against a team that have gone to the lighthouse multiple times, and have an elo of 2000+ while you have an elo of around a 1000 and have never gone tho the lighthouse and probely never wil with this type of matchmaking. Because now it"s just random.

I think you should just start each round with a limited amount of ammo, 1 shotgun shell, 2 sniper bullets, 2 fusion charges and 1 clip of side arm. Enough for a kill basically, no more special. Enough for you to get 1 pick basically and then work on keeping the rest of the team away with your primary, then at the start of the next round the special refreshes.
-
In all honesty the best way to fix special ammo in my opinion is to completely remove special boxes from the maps and have everyone spawn with a set amount of ammo for the match. Like have you spawn with 7-8 shotgun rounds and that's all you get for the whole match.
-
What about rounds 6 through 9? It isn't just a 5 round game.
-
Here my idea on how to make trials/elimination way better. Start each round with no special ammo, exception side arms (fix ammo hoarding) Remove/relocate special ammo crates in each teams spawn. Change timer to 15 seconds, counters ice breaker without a nerf and also forces players out of spawn camping. Remove skorri from pvp if bungie change does not help
-
3v3 skirmish would be cool not a fan of elimination
-
Flip spawns, rotate maps, bring back some of the larger maps with sparrows and turrets deactivated and maybe even remove heavy. For destiny 2 sort out the netcode, have dedicated pvp servers and bring in ranking systems, make it a really competitive mode but give exclusive emblems etc to the best players.
-
My idea: random spawn locations like rumble does.
-
If you want trials to be popular again, you really need to throw balance out the window. The game needs to be random as possible to give casual players a chance. It sucks, but that is the reality.
-
My thought: Kill this ridiculous map with fire.
-
Hate it. Just make a normal 3-4 player team slayer to 50 mode instead.
-
I hope you realize that there is no 5th round in trials..
-
Or they could just make everyone playing in Trials use a set loadouts of greens or blues and let their "skill" get them to the lighthouse. After all, isn't that what every TrialsBaby says? "It's competitive and for the "top tier" skilled PvP players." They play with blues or greens and all this whine about nerfing this or that goes out the window. So how bout letting them put up or shut up?

You know what? Any change to Trials would be a refreshing one I must admit. I hate 3 verse 3 type modes, they are just way too slow and campy to begin with and isn't the type of playstyle I enjoy at all. So all these changes trying to prevent a spiritless type of gameplay is counterproductive to the mode. 3 verse 3 modes are already spiritless in the first place. I prefer faster paced 6 v 6 game modes like team clash or control. Or even rift. Even Rumble. So if Trials put different modes on rotation it would attract more different types of players and gamers to Trials of Osiris. I mean we only get iron banner once a month and it's the only other light enabled pvp game mode besides Trials. They just have different loot. If they put a different pvp game mode on rotation in Trials every weekend it would help to attract more players into the game on a weekly bases. Iron banner attracts way more people to Destiny when it comes out every month than Trials does every weekend. The player-base is high during Iron Banner. Imagine if Trials put different modes on rotation every weekend. More people would want to play Trials just to have fun and have a change of scenery. #encouragediversityinTrials

Edited by Animal Mother: 2/26/2017 7:33:12 AM3v3 sucks. I say single player elimination. -blam!- it, why not? At least I wouldn't have to weed through lfg all the time.

Please go back down into your basement and never surface again.

This should be like a one week thing. Then the community can give it some feedback and see if it'll be a good change.

Hmm could be quite interesting ill say that
