I wish Bungie had approached the game the way Bioware approached Mass Effect 3, where the multiplayer is involved with the story, yet is completely separate from the campaign. I think the best thing to do with Destiny at this point is to have each character have a "Crucible loadout" where everyone has access the exact same guns with the exact same perks, everyone gets one of each type of gun to choose from (ie high rate of fire, high impact, etc). Keep PvE weapons using the same system we have now, they just can't be used in Crucible. This way Crucible would be entirely skill based without god rolls dominating the playing field at all times and PvE won't get shit upon due to god rolls in Crucible.

-
And in Mass Effect 3, the multiplayer is fighting against the Reaper invasion forces. What's your point?
-
That the Crucible has a story backup... That's my Point.
-
And Mass Effect 3 multiplayer has a story back up as well, yet it is a separate entity from the campaign that can be freely edited as need be without impacting the other.

Edited by Talia Sendua: 2/26/2017 9:55:55 AMYou forgot that the ME Triology has completely offline Campaign's and Destiny is an Online-Game...
-
No, I didn't forget that, it's just completely irrelevant. What is ME's campaign? PvE. What is Destiny's campaign? PvE.
-
The Difference is that ME Games hasn't a "Always on"-Requirement like Destiny and other MMO's. It would be to hard to seperate PvP and PvE in Destiny 1. Hope for it in Destiny 2 but give up your Hopes for D1.
-
What part of "online or offline is irrelevant" did you not get? Furthermore, I never said to separate it in Destiny 1. I indicated how the PvP SHOULD have been handled.
-
What part of "online or offline is irrelevant" did you not get?
It isn't irrelevant. In Online Games would that affect the complete Gear and Skill Systems. You can't make it so easy that Weapons have this and this Stats in PvE and PvP. You will have every time a Problem to progamm and create such Changes.
-
No, it won't be a problem if the PvP and PvE weapons are part of entirely separate entities. Look at Mass Effect again. You can have the same weapons in both modes. The campaign versions were barely touched since release, while the multiplayer versions were modified based on performance in mulitplayer.
-
So make pvp cod...why would i do that if its the same as every other fps game...
-
So you prefer having the PvE part of the game torn apart due solely to the complaints of strictly Crucible players?
-
I think pvp and pve nerfs should be seperate things... like HoW knowing full well how unrealistic it is that theyll do it i hope they find a middle ground. You have to remember the unique weapons and armors are what set destiny aprt from other FPS games, being able to customize a gun to youre liking with rolls and finding that hard-to-get gun that dominates.
-
You realize that it's that very concept that's led to the current state of the game, right? You can still have those dominating guns, they just won't be the source of constant complaints and subsequent nerfs.
-
And your solution to it is just remove destiny pvp and make another Call of duty... see which is more realistic...
-
No, my solution is to make PvP BALANCED. Victories in Crucible would be entirely based on skill, the way it SHOULD be, rather than crutch weapons.
-
As stick said, it sort of invalidates the grind if we know we cant take that weapon to show off... and making players pick between pre-made loadouts wont "balance" the crucible, itll just make a meta loadout... and youll literally see everyone using that load out.
-
Crucible shouldn't BE a grind, first of all. Secondly, it's not picking pre-made loadouts. You get to choose whichever weapons you want, they just all have set perks so the gameplay rewards skill rather than luck. I'm not completely sure what part of this concept is difficult for you, but I think it's that you'll lose your crutches and have to rely on the skill that you lack. I believe that will force you to "get gud", as the children say.
-
Removing the perks we grind for is making it call of duty that is what he is saying. Read plz.
-
Stop going on about Call of Duty. This does NOT turn it into Call of Duty. It's still Destiny, just without the shit that people bitch about. The only way anyone could possibly be against this is if you rely solely on crutch weapons to get through Crucible. Don't blame me that you have no skill and can't win in a fair fight. Why don't you read THAT "plz".

Subclasses and Classes will be like the Specialist Classes from BO3 and the only difference would be that we have more different looking Weapons with the same Stats.
-
Don't be an idiot like these two. I never said anything about taking away perks on subclasses. Nor did I mention armor at all, before you start on that.
-
Edited by Talia Sendua: 2/26/2017 10:02:45 AMI didn't wrote that you said that. I have just give you an example what would Destiny be when we deactivate Weapon Perks in the Crucible.
-
I never said get rid of all perks. I said make all the weapon types operate the same way for everyone so that people can't have crutch weapons and the Crucible would be balanced and solely skill based. Do you also have a problem with skill based gameplay? Because all I'm hearing from you is "no please don't take away my crutches".
-
Edited by Talia Sendua: 2/26/2017 10:12:32 AM
"no please don't take away my crutches".
Why do people love to interpret my Opinion wrong and write Lie's with that...
I never said get rid of all perks.
And no, then the Crucible would become boring on a Long view. Not for me. Not for others. For us all. After a different time we played would it be very boring. People just can't accept that they "lose in a game"
