I wouldn't say they "ruined" it. It is the simple fact it is not what it used to be.
Perhaps the nerfs were meant to effect pvp. Afterall, if they nerf guns in PvP to make it "balanced", it would make PvE, more "challenging", two birds with one stone. The difference is we replace "challenging" with "frustrating".
If it is more frustrating, it could bring in more demand, but it seems to do the opposite at times.
Lets face it, people claim the grind in PvE is easy and repetitive. Maybe it is, but not all think this way.
As the nerfs stack on, 'easy' disappears over time and you are left with 'repetitive'. Not very desirable for those trying to succeed.
Now as a master of PvE(yeah say what you want, whatever) I always think about becoming stronger, mentally, broaden my instincts.
If it were always easy, would that gift me any change? No.
The nerfs buff our minds, for we are adaptive creatures, and we should always appreciate the fact we are able to conceive such a "second will" as I call it.
I do get frustrated when my favorite gun gets nerfed four times, but that does not stop me from using it.
With practice you will perform well enough where the nerf may become unnoticed.
The mental wound closes and leaves a small scar, a scar that reminds us that we are human, and reality may change by it's call and not by our plea.
Just my thoughts, sorry if I bored you.

Sorry. This is not a campaign shooter. Nerfs are poisonous to a loot-based RPG. This is managing to avoid being a huge problem for the game because the Sandbox team has spent the last year trying to minimize their impact on pve. But minimal impact is not the same as no impact.

I understand, this my point of view. You're not wrong.

I don't mind change as long as I know what I'm getting myself into beforehand. I bought a finished game in year 1 that was marketed as FINITO and by year 3 its morphed into a beta. Huh?

Edited by LittleLight: 2/25/2017 6:05:00 AMI totally agree. Bungie didn't completely ruin PvE. It's just not the same as it used to be. The game mainly caught the of most of its fans with its PvE content. So having things nerfed like Subclasses, destroys many builds that players go with when playing a strike or something. Just what I think though.
I wasn't bored :)
