So I really think Memory of Silimar needs a tweak as well, specifically regarding AoE grenades. I'm looking at you, Solar Grenades.
I'm not proposing that the burn shouldn't have lessened damage. It's says "damage over time greatly reduced". But here's my thing:
- Initial impact on solar grenades is just that, initial impact. Not affected.
- The solar napalm is an AREA OF EFFECT, not damage over time. You only take damage if you're in the area. So why is it affected by Memory of Silimar?
I don't expect you to see this Bungie, but if you do, please give this a look. It doesn't make any sense and only serves to weaken an already average grenade.

Bump for exposure. There's no reason Silimar should affect the AoE, unless someone from Bungie can confirm that it's working as intended, which is silly.

Yeah, NERF IT!!! If it works well and players who use it like it, there's always someone out there ready with a nerf hammer. It's always easy to ask for nerfs on things when it hurts someone else.

Is it the burn that it is lowering from the grenades?

Agreed, solar grenade normally deals 22 per hit I believe, if an enemy is using this artefact, it only deals 5. The artefact protects against DoT, so I dont see why it should effect grenades like this.
