Think farcry 3 meets lost planet 2.

Completely wrong

Except not. Most of its monster interactions play the same way as lost planet did, each monster has a different weakness/weak spot and when you beat them you get resources needed to continue playing. It has all the generic open world concepts that came to recent generations through farcry 3, resource gathering tower for zones, etc. Maybe it would be better for you if I said "lost planet meets assassin's Creed" but Creed and farcry were both Ubisoft games with super similar open world mechanics. It's OK to admit that the game is deritive, it can still be a good game even if parts are glaringly like other games that game before it.

I don't know anything about either of those games lol

Not too sure on the details of the story, since I want to avoid spoilers, but the game is an open world RPG after the apocalypse and you fight robot animals. The Human race was brought back to pretty much the stone age.
