I don't understand how that's true feminism. If she was asked to wear a veil [i]by him [/i]it's respect since she's going to [i]his[/i] place. It's honestly the same as taking your shoes off when entering a temple in Japanese and Chinese cultures.
But because she wasn't asked by him to wear a veil, just her advisors, her advisors are idiots. In no way is "true feminism" shown in this article, just a woman not putting up with her advisor's shit.

Except that taking you shoes off isn't demeaning to women. That Muslim custom is demeaning to women. They were meeting as politicians from different countries, as equals if you will. That veil implies as per middle eastern culture and religion " the woman is inferior".
