I've gotten extremely good at parrying people who spam, but when I do they are pushed so far away that I can't get a hit in on them. What's the best thing to do after a successful parry?
I play warden/lawbringer btw

1 ReplyAs lawbringer you can always try to capitalize on the parry with an unblockable, and as warden you can dash with the "crushing counter attack" (I think it's called) combo that is two light attacks.

Guard break and do a side heavy. You get the side heavy for free only if you guard break immediately after the parry
-
With lawbringer you can do an unblockable that does a shit ton of damage after a parry. With Warden you can get a free guardbreak usually. You can do that with most characters

YOU GOTTA CHASE THAT MOTHER-blam!-ER DOWN AND KICK THAT GUY IN HIS DICK!!!!!!!!!

I would say go in for the stun or shoulder charge. From there you have a bunch of options because you are so close and they are stunned.

You can't counter a guard break right after being parried, do what you want with that information
-
Usually guardbreak, throw them into wall and heavy up attack. As warden, anyway.

1 ReplyIf playing lawbringer, use a light attack after a parry to follow with a quick hit. Or and above heavy for an unblockable. You can find more in lawbringers moveset list

Depends a bit on which class you're playing, but generally a dash forward + light attack. Is a good follow-up. Unless they spam alot, then just block/party more until they run out of stamina and punish them harshly for it. And don't worry about guard breaking too much. Using it once to punish isn't spamming. And if they're out of stamina then breaking their guard will just make them drop to the ground, perfect opportunity for you to get some hits in.
