House of Kings will almost certainly show up too. Maybe not in the Vanilla story, but I expect to see them in one of D2's expansions.

  • Absolutely. I'm sure there will be far, far more than what I've got in this lone post, but these are the two arcs I'm almost positive will happen.

  • And of course, when I say Kings, that pretty much also means the Devils. I can see them taking appearance of the antagonist for a good two or three missions before we realize that the House of Kings are pulling the strings and we target them.

  • Maybe even all the houses. A sudden increase in strategic fallen activity across the system. We spend some time to find out that none of the houses have a Kell, and discover the kings acting as the king pin (no pun intended). A whole bundle of adventures to be had there.

That could work, even though I personally believe that the Devils still have a Kell. Perhaps if that's the case, we take him out only to find that the Devils are acting the same way, leading us to investigate the Kings. But the Fallen as a whole are significantly weaker than they were at Twilight Gap. They'd be doomed to fail unless the City was seriously weakened. Perhaps in a Cabal invasion..
Also the Concordat. Don't know how that's going to play out once they make their move.
Now that you mention that, it could just be a downward spiral for us. First the cabal attack, putting us in a bad state. (Though still no fall) Lysander takes advantage of our weakness then decides to attack. (Weakening us further) Then with us in a particularly bad spot, (guardians fighting the cabal and Lysander's people elsewhere) the kings seize the opportunity and assemble the fallen for round 2 with the city. (Potential city fall)

  • Could lead to the City's fall and a huge change of environment in Destiny 3.

  • Did we just lay out a roadmap for Destiny 2?

  • That would be pretty freaking awesome if we did.
