i like the rocket launcher one. sounds pretty cool and original.
but the sword is just... meh. i get the idea but we have already seen what happend to "allied enemies" with the timurs artifact. they are patheticly weak and just annoying because you need to wait for them to become enemies and kill them if youre in a "ghost is opening something" scene during a strike to advance.
id rather have swords with unique archtypes and abilities.
like a void broadsword which does less damage and slows you down a bit, but gives much more defense while using the sword. also blocking consumes less ammo and the blocking ability reduces incoming dmg more than usual.
exotic perk would create a bigger half circle shield (as long as you hold down the button) that you can use to block incoming dmg and protect your team mates but they can shoot through that shield.

I like your sword idea. Also, ideally, the Willbreaker sword would work by killing the enemy, but later spawning in a Taken version of that enemy that is not registered as an enemy- your own Taken. That way, was you could still progress through the game.
