I have heard the same that these guys usually just want to be carried themselves and I would say the guy that I played with today was one of those guys. I usually avoid these groups also since they are usually not fun at all. I recall joining one of these groups for the Taken King raid and the leader was giving me crap for a wipe that wasn't even my fault. I was at the point where I could get through the raid without causing any wipes. Needless to say I backed out of that group and joined another.
