I joined my first 'elite' group the other day, must have this, must have that. I have everything so it's not a problem. The first thing the leader said as I got into the party was, "I won't pick apart the weapons you are all using." So I looked, we were on vosik part two when I joined, he had zhalo, quantiplasm and the raid rocket equipped, and he wanted to have an opinion about what everyone else was using.
We got through vosik after a couple of tries and it really wasn't a smooth run. Then we got to the siege machine, and this guy was calling wipe the moment anybody died. Like I mean okay if someone dies real early, let's wipe and go again, but we're at the spider tank, we've lost one man, let's keep going. No wipe, and the other guys were doing it. I had to leave. Couldn't imagine aksis going well after that.
I don't mind there being some minimum requirements, I mean if you're really not raid ready, people shouldn't have to carry you in a lfg group. But I can see how it would be very hard to attempt your first raid, when everyone is asking for you to know what you're doing. They should probably put a Sherpa section in recruitment.

There is a Sherpa section it's the "willing to be a guide" option. However most people don't understand you DO NOT choose "guide needed" or "willing to be a guide" unless you fall under one of those categories. If you're just wanting a quick run leave that option blank. The would be Sherpa section is overrun with the elitist post.

I joined this one group with these kids claiming to be sherpa's. They didn't want to do anything remotely difficult ie pick up front bomb on vosik and one of them only wanted to play on the left side. Needless to say we didn't get far before the group fell apart.

Those are always my favorite as I pull up their completions and call them out

Congrats on getting passed Vosik. I can't tell you how many times I have been stuck there. I will admit it can be a pain sometimes but it isn't that difficult. I have also been with "that guy" that wants to set up everyone's subclasses and loadouts. It's annoying. I can see doing this for a newbie, but for somebody that isn't new to this game, it really isn't necessary. That is also a reason why I avoid these groups. And I agree with you, a death doesn't always mean you need to wipe. If early on then sure, but there are many parts of this raid that can be completed with one guy down.

Guys like that always cause the most mistakes lol
