#1 Don't bump into people in fire fights. Too often I'm behind cover aiming and I'm bumped by someone trying to use my cover and my aim goes through shit and I'm dead.
#2 Don't block someone who is poking out of cover so they can't return to cover. Too often I jump out, shoot shoot, try to go back in and newguy mcdickhead is blocking me so I'm stuck with no cover and dead.
Feel free to add any unwritten rules you feel should be common knowledge

Edited by Esposito99: 2/20/2017 7:35:48 AMTeabaging is OK as long as u shut down a Super or seriously outplayed someone who had the jump on u Fusion rifle a shoulder charge also acceptable. ..... Other then that don't do it.

Oh man I was guilty of that. I didn't realize I was doing that until it happened to me. However if you want to run at the front of the pack, expect that someone is right on your heels and if you hit the brakes it's going to be a nascar wreck and you might end up getting bumped out into sniper alley. Also don't expect to reverse as well.

People not backing me up. Sometimes I lose a gunfight and leave the other with a sliver of health, then my teammate just runs away instead of finishing him off....
-
It's not really etiquette, but I really wish people realized that triple capping only hurts your chances of winning. Sure you get the occasional lobby with skilled players that can actually hold down three zones, but -blam!-ing hell I can't count how many times I've lost a match we should have won just because idiots HAVE to have all 3 zones.
-
crucible etiquette - an acquired skill.

If you are waiting for heavy ammo spawn, it's alright to wait for other team mates to spawn or reach the area. But when you see a red bar approaching your radar, it's also alright for you to be the first to grab the heavy, cuz it could be a Lock with a Nova, and you are all toast. When in control, if you spawn near a Red Zone, try to capture it as others who died will spawn beside you and you will have company, most of the time that is. When you are standing near a Red Zone and your spawn point, try to help out capturing that zone if it is safe. Your team mates may feel abandoned and may think you are not playing the objective. Small points count, too, regardless of how small they are. They could accumulate and make or break a game. Stay in the game, no matter how bad it's going in the beginning. You will never know, the tide might turn and you end up winning in the end. Happens a lot in my experience, and these are the games that I treasure and remember the most. Exciting endings. Trust your instinct, some maps are not that big. Have a keen awareness of where your team mates are. The enemy could be ahead of you or flanking you. Help out team mates when you can. You'll be surprised of the outcome when you work together. It's just a game. Don't get mad. Learn from it and apply it. Most of all, have fun. Cheers!

Firebase Delphi: Don't HESITATE when u r on the outside of the 2nd door (under B) when the outside door opens and the ENTIRE enemy team is standing there stuck. SMOKE 'EM' !!!!!
-
It's rare you find a PvP this friendly

QUIT FLIPPING THE SPAWNS IF YOU HAVE THE ADVANTAGE!!! Quit trying to grab C when you have A and B If you try capping A on Shores of Time, just quit out. QUIT JUMPING THE WINDOW OVER AND OVER ON FIREBASE DELPHI!.. dont capture C! Even in Supremacy quit rushing the other teams spawn to pick up chest, you are only killing your teammates behind you.. by making the enemy spawn behind them. You just traded getting 1 chest for your teammates to give up points to the people spawning behind them.

I'll say the patented response that many give anti-T-baggers... It's only pixels on a screen. Why does it matter? Won't say which side I'm on. If you think T-bagging doesn't matter, then zero crucible etiquette should be considered and/or discussed as behavior, winning, or losing makes no difference. If you think it matters, then feel free to continue without a self-contradiction.

Edited by Sire Belmont: 2/19/2017 6:47:34 PMPlease anticipate the fact that, when I'm in a bad spot, getting shot at by 4 - 6 enemy players and will obviously die if I don't get back, please don't stand in my path, sit there in a small corridor I'm trying to run towards, and shoot the enemy as I'm sprinting in the opposite direction for a reason! Get the heck out of my way! Lol

1. You can shoot the same guy, no need to stop a d wait to see who wins. Hate when I have teammates waiting to see if I get a kill, shoot the guy! 2. Don't deny easy rez in 3's. It leaves your teamate without the overshield and denies 50 points. 3. Don't play if you cant. Going afk all or most of a match is a death sentence for your team once the enemy knows. Walk the dog, do the dishes, clean your room, etc. Before playing, if your gonna be gone long, leave the match. 4. On the topic of team awareness....watch where you -blam!-ing are! I didn't want to shoot you in the ass with my sniper, I wanted the guy your trying to kill by blocking me. That rocket was meant for Palpatine not the back of your head. Be aware of your teams position. 5. Tactics, they are a thing. Instead of running into that same sniper lane or group that team shots work with your team to flank rather than be a lemming running for its imminent death. 6. Lastly, if you have a fireteam that isn't full when you join, don't -blam!- over the random. He's on your team too, help them. Cover them, rez them, let them rez you. So many games I've had where the two guys on their own fireteam ignore me on the team, refusing to rez or be rezzed by me, refusing to hold heavy that 2 seconds I need to be in range.

If I kill you in some insane way (firing a Void arrow across the chasm on Crossroads into your dome as heavy pops), I'm gonna wave to you...but know that I'm not being a d bag, I'm probably laughing at how lucky I got...and feel free to wave to me if you smoke me out there with something ridiculous.
-
We don't have peripheral vision so players just may not see you.
-
When you are in a fire fight in a narrow corridor this is most evident. Jump in the open 2 or 3 at a time unload your clips then step to the side reload and let your teammates get some it's not that complicated.Intead it's just pure chaos that's why I roam around by myself and try to flank a lot of the time.
-
Easy fix : friendly fire.
-
Wear an obnoxious shader. Run striker Titan and shoulder charge your teammates off the map when applicable. Teabag after every kill, even if you didn't get it. Rude emotes also acceptable.
-
This guy killed me with Ghorn and shut down my own Heavy LMG Then - he waves lol (grrr) So I proceed to kill him many times and wave wave wave Boy I bet he was pissed lol 😂

Don't dab on nerds unless you absolutely destroy their career. Also don't t-bag youtubers or streamers, nobody likes getting t-bagged.

Edited by Darran: 2/19/2017 11:27:07 AM#1 Bump into people in fire fights. #2 Block someone who is poking out of cover so they can't return to cover. #3 Use a rubber band on your Controller, pop a 3oC and go watch some TV. #4 Make sure to take the Heavy Ammo before your team mates get to it. (Dance with them when they arrive and procede to kill yourself for fun.) #5 Trigger sweaties by Tea bagging them, even if you are the worst player Destiny has seen. (They will procede to send you hate mail.) #6 Spam people with messages so their screen is clogged up with notifications. #7 Have fun pissing off basement dwelling sweaty no lifers by any other means necessary. Edit: Added more fun tips.

Dont cap a on shores of time
-
This has to be said yet again, for the love of god and all things holy, stop capping A on Shores of Time.
-
3: you see a sniper strafing back and forth, don't walk up and start strafing in front of him like a dumb ass. 4:Be smart with heavy usage. If you know that only a few of your team got hvy and you hear rockets reigning down save yours and wait to shut down the incoming enemy supers. 5: stop using Nova bombs and foh on 1 person.
-
100% agree get so mad at team mates tryna play solo and messing up your game. Like to add pushing in front of you during a fire fight to steal a kill or block a thrown grenade
-
The word etiquette reminds me of the word croquet, therefore I hunger for croquets.
-
If you see someone on your team duck walking and looking like an idiot, don't stand next to him. He's being sneaky.
